The pier Brendon mentioned was located in the eastern suburbs - the Royal Pier where almost all of their private yachts were docked. The air there was fresh, and the night view was beautiful. It would be pleasant to have drinks there with three or four friends while admiring stars and moonlight or even taking a dip in the sea at night.
For wealthy people like them, they always had something going on - just finished one celebration party then off they went again for another activity on their yacht.
"Chris, we just called Steve; he said he'll come over when he's free! It's been so long since we've talked together." Shannon spoke softly with an ethereal voice that no man could refuse easily.
"Chris, why don't you go with Ranita? It'll be more fun if there are more people!" Shannon paused for a moment before quickly explaining herself to avoid upsetting Brendon, "Brendon, if you think it's inconvenient for Ranita to wear this blue velvet dress out tonight then I have another new dress in my car trunk that she can change into."
She leaned against Brendon while talking as though boneless...
Chris had heard some gossip about what happened during their celebration party but didn't react too much because from his perspective there wasn't much difference between what Ranita wore compared to what Shannon wore except maybe some minor adjustments made on its hemline position which were barely noticeable anyway...
He also believed that someone like Ranita wouldn't resort to wearing fake goods just for showmanship's sake...
"Don't change, I think Ranita looks great in this dress!" Chris smiled and continued, "Ranita just told me she wants to go home and rest, so don't force her!"
"Brendon, you go with Shannon first! I'll be there soon!" Chris pushed Ranita gently and whispered, "Let's go! I'll walk you out."
Ranita parked her car a little further away. When she got into the car, Chris reminded her again, "Drive slowly and send me a message when you get home."
Ranita felt the warmth of care from Chris at this moment. Especially now. Her cold heart suddenly felt a bit warmer. Yes! There were so many good men in the world; why must it be Brendon?
