"Holly... don't go..." Shannon pretended to hold onto Holly, heartbroken. "Brendon probably wants to make up with Ranita, so I won't disturb them! I'll pack up and leave soon, making room for Ranita so she doesn't have to see me unhappy."
"Shannon! What are you talking about? My brother would never reconcile with Ranita! He only has you in his heart!" Holly was extremely angry and full of contempt for Ranita. "Ranita is nothing; she was kicked out and now dreams of entering Boulderland Mansion again!"
"Shannon, rest assured and recover from your injuries! I'll go settle the score with her!" Holly ran off in a rage while Shannon's soft face flashed a barely noticeable smile before getting out of bed unsteadily.
Meanwhile, Brendon was tormenting the hated Ranita.
By the time they finished cleaning up and sat down at the table, it was already past ten o'clock.
Brendon made breakfast.
"It's just okay; please bear with it," Brendon looked somewhat surprised by his own cooking skills or lack thereof.
"It's fine," said Ranita as she took a few bites but didn't feel like eating anymore.
She felt tired.
Her stomach also felt heavy; regret filled her heart.
She shouldn't have spoiled Brendon like this without considering whether or not it would affect their child.
Ranita planned on contacting Steve later when suddenly he pinched one of her fingers.
"If you're not going to eat anything, then why are you daydreaming?"
Ranita pulled back her finger while lowering eyelashes irritably saying, "I'm thinking about work."
At the mention of work, Brendon's expression darkened slightly.
He remembered that soon enough Rantia will be leaving Stuart's Corp. Thinking back on what he saw in his study earlier, he put down his fork asking, "After leaving Stuart's Corp., are you going to Greece? What about your studio? Are you closing it?"
