Ranita choked on her breath.
"Holly, legally speaking Brendon and I are still married! Besides, our private affairs don't concern you!" Ranita's eyes were cold as she spoke with disgust. "Holly, if you cause any more trouble I'll call the police!"
"Fine! Call them... I want to see who will be embarrassed when this matter blows up!" Holly retorted.
Ranita was about to argue back when Shannon grabbed Holly gently by the arm and pleaded in a soft voice, "Holly please don't fight with Ranita anymore! Let's go back."
"Shannon, why should we leave when we're right?" Holly patted Shannon's hand while glaring at Ranita. "Shannon is kind-hearted so she won't argue with you but I'm different."
"If you make Shannon sad again, watch how I deal with you!"
Ranita looked at the two of them bickering back-and-forth feeling nauseous.
"Holly... don't be impulsive or scare Ranita! She didn't say anything wrong…It's understandable that she slept together with Brendon since their divorce procedures haven't been completed yet."
"Don't get angry at Ranita because of me or else Brendon will blame us later..." With her face twisted in distress and sadness in her voice, Shannon pulled on Holly's sleeve urging her to calm down before telling her to wait for her in the parking lot while she talked things out calmly with Ranita.
Reluctantly leaving after being pushed by Shannon, Holly had no choice but to walk away first.
"Rantia, I apologize on behalf of Holly. She was just too anxious earlier which led to physical contact between both of you. You also slapped her once so let's consider this matter settled okay?" With misty lashes batting, Rantia felt like refusing would make everything worse as she listened attentively.
"I need some rest now, Miss Murphy." Rantia replied indifferently without mentioning whether or not she forgave them.
