The Divorcee Who Shines novel Chapter 167

Chapter 167 Going on a Blind Date

Ranita had been with him for three years, giving her all in both work and life. What kind of person she was should have been clear to him by now. But today, he asked such a chilling question.

"Do you also suspect me?" Ranita didn't want to talk anymore.

"Ranita, I didn't say it was you. Just calm down."

Ranita couldn't stay calm. She turned away, her voice low and heavy. "Brendon, please go."

"I'd like to be alone for a while."

Brendon walked up to her and grabbed her face, forcing her to look into his eyes. "Ranita, let me take you out for lunch. Aren't you supposed to get your stitches removed this afternoon?"

Ranita pushed his hand away and spoke coolly, "No need, it's just a small matter. You don't have to trouble yourself."

"Miss Murphy is being discharged today, aren't you going back home for dinner?"

Brendon's eyes showed a hint of displeasure. Why did this woman always push him away?

"It's none of your business whether I go back or not!" Brendon gritted his teeth and forcefully took Ranita outside for lunch.

On weekdays he was very busy.

During the meal, he received several phone calls while Ranita silently ate. After finishing most of the food she realized that Vincent had sent her a message.

"Ranita, are you busy? If you have time I'd like to invite you out for dinner." He paused before sending another message saying, "If it makes things difficult for you, then we don't have to eat."

Ranita replied, "Sure thing! You pick the time. It's not me who finds things difficult but rather Professor who can be quite annoying at times."
