The Divorcee Who Shines novel Chapter 185

Chapter 185 Meeting Up

Ranita winced under his pressure.

"It's not a date; we're just going out for dinner," she said after thinking about it briefly. "I looked over my schedule and don't think they'll need me much tomorrow night anyway."

"According to our contract terms, once my work is done, I can arrange my own schedule."

"You seem pretty eager!"

"It's not like that; mainly because we haven't seen each other in such a long time..." With lowered eyes, Ranita spoke softly sounding sad which made even her eyelashes tremble slightly.

Seeing how she pursed lips pitifully, Brendon felt uncomfortable inside himself.

"Do you really have to see him?" He opened his thin lips lightly.

"I already promised him; how could I not go?" Pushing away from Brendon, Ranita said, "You should loosen your grip on me now, I can hardly breathe."

Instead of listening, Brendon pinched her hard as if venting all of his anger onto poor girl.

Ranita grabbed his finger and giggled as she was pinched tightly, "Brendon, stop tickling me, it's so itchy! Hahaha... you better let go soon or I'll hit you!"

It was more like acting cute than threatening.

Brendon's heart softened as he lifted Ranita onto the bed and looked at her with dark, intense eyes. "Hit me!" he said.

Ranita's heart was filled with warmth as she blushed with embarrassment.

"Do you really think I'm afraid?" Ranita raised her small fist and punched him, with a flirtatious look in her eyes.

"Like a cat scratching!" Brendon's narrow eyes curved, and he chuckled softly with a magnetic and sexy laughter.

It sent Ranita's heart racing.

The atmosphere was right, and Brendon started kissing her again.

The deep kiss came to an end.

Ranita remained calm and kept her hand on his chest. She said, "Brendon, to be honest, I'm not really comfortable with this."

It was a bit disappointing.

But with Ranita's reasoning, Brendon had no choice! He rested his head on her shoulder and nuzzled a few times like a puppy, expressing his reluctance.
