The Divorcee Who Shines novel Chapter 210

Chapter 210 Little Scatterbrain

"Ranita..." Brendon felt uneasy. He wanted to explain, but this time he had to take Shannon back to Kurima and Amiya wanted to talk to him.

Amiya said the Murphy family was asking questions, wondering if Brendon and Shannon were engaged and if they should start preparing for it.

Brendon didn't agree, and Amiya got angry.

Brendon usually tolerated Amiya's behavior, but this time they had a fight.

Amiya had a car accident years ago that left her legs disabled. She couldn't handle such a big emotional blow at once and became obsessed with it. After long-term treatment, she had improved in recent years.

This time when Brendon contradicted her, Amiya immediately went into the hospital.

Brendon still didn't give in.

He hadn't slept much last night and had been busy all day. Brendon was tired now.

"Forget it... it's nothing..." Brendon wanted to tell Ranita that she was important to him. But what good would it do? Ranita kept secrets in her heart while he struggled with Shannon. Speaking out would only make things more complicated between them all.

"I'll pack up my things and come over." Even though the answer was clear in her heart already, she still felt like she brought shame upon herself again which made Ranita feel brokenhearted once more.

Brendon stayed two days in Qaesburg for meetings. Meanwhile, Ranita pulled herself together as well as worked hard for two days too.

Fortunately though at last minute they managed to finalize the project.

On the plane ride home, Ranita fell asleep as soon as she sat down. Brenden woke her up, "Ranita, eat something!"

"I want sleep not food."

Steve told her that after getting pregnant, she'd become sleepy with poor appetite so be prepared mentally. Ranita could relate somewhat on having poor appetite, but before being sleepy never happened. She thought maybe it wouldn't happen but these past two days proved otherwise.
