The Divorcee Who Shines novel Chapter 221

Chapter 221 Are You Really Here for a Blind Date?

"Ugh!"

Ranita felt a wave of nausea rise in her throat and couldn't help but cover her mouth.

"Are you okay?" Brendon asked, concerned. "Did you eat something bad?"

"It's nothing... just feeling a little sick," Ranita replied as the elevator stopped and she quickly rushed out.

"I have to go do something first."

Ranita drank some water in the car to calm herself down.

She leaned back against the seat, resting for a few minutes before receiving a message from Vincent.

In the Green Meadow Restaurant.

From afar, Ranita saw Vincent wearing a white shirt. Vincent had well-defined features and stood tall with an air of righteousness about him.

"Are you Ranita? My junior?" Vincent smiled brightly at her. "I'm Vincent."

"Vincent, it's an honor to meet you," Ranita nodded politely as they shook hands and sat down together.

Vincent poured tea for her and ordered some light dishes. He smiled at her saying, "I heard from our professor that your taste is more on the lighter side so if there's anything else you'd like instead, just let me know."

Vincent worked in the Department of Translation and Interpretation where he interacted with people outside of their university. His voice was deep yet pleasant to listen to; he had an innate persuasiveness that made him sound convincing - definitely someone with good vocal cords!

"These are fine. Thank you," she replied gratefully as they waited for their food.

While waiting for their meal, Vincent took initiative by starting up conversation, "Professor often mentions your name so it's great we finally get to meet each other."

"I've actually seen you on TV before," Ranita laughed along too.

She thought it would be awkward but found that Vincent was easy-going and always managed to bring up topics that interested her - especially since they both studied translation which gave them common ground.

Overall, they had a good chat over dinner.
