"First of all, regarding the money that Wyatt gave you, it belongs to the Stuart family. You better be smart and return it," Amiya said with a contemptuous look at Ranita.
"Secondly, Brendon has been spending time with Shannon these days. You should know your place in his heart. The reason he hasn't divorced you is because you were kidnapped and hurt during that time. He didn't want to divorce you then," Amiya continued.
The more Amiya spoke, the more disdainful she looked at Ranita.
"Brendon showed mercy because of your marriage relationship, but don't think for a second that everything is okay," she added.
Ranita felt waves of pain surge through her heart but maintained a calm exterior.
"Mrs. Stuart, I'm sorry but I can't agree with your first point. Since Mr. Stuart left me something in his will specifically for me to dispose of as I see fit, I believe I have the right to do so."
Pausing briefly before continuing, "As for your second point, although you are Brendon's mother, please refrain from meddling in matters between him and me."
Ranita's words were neither salty nor bland but they infuriated Amiya nonetheless.
Holly couldn't help herself, "Mom! Why are we even talking to her? What right does an outsider like her have to inherit Grandpa's property? It was ours from the beginning!"
"Ranita, what do you want?"
Ranita thought it was a little funny that they came to her and asked her what she wanted. Wasn't that funny?
"Miss Stuart! You're the one who came here voluntarily so shouldn't I be asking what you want?" said Ranita before adding, "I have something else to attend to now."
Ranita picked up her things and prepared leave when suddenly Amiya called out after her, "Do you know why Brendon has been spending all this time with Shannon lately?"
