Ranita was thrown against the wall with a rough force. "Brendon! What are you doing?" Already feeling upset, Ranita exploded in anger at being treated so roughly.
"What am I doing? It's what you did, Ranita. You went after my friend and caused him to turn against me!" Brendon's low voice was laced with alcohol as he leaned in close to her ear, his breath hot on her skin and leaving a burning sensation.
It was scorching!
But his words were so vile that Ranita wanted to bite him right then and there.
"What are you talking about?" Her heart pounding with anger, her mind buzzing loudly, she pushed him away forcefully. "Brendon, you're drunk!"
But Brendon quickly closed the distance between them again. He pinned her against the wall with both hands and stared at her coldly. "I'm not drunk!"
What an asshole!
How could he do something like this if he wasn't drunk? How could he say such irrational things?
"Brendon! You're drunk! We'll talk when you're sober!" There was no point trying to explain or reason with a drunken person.
Ranita tried to suppress the rising anger inside of her. "I'll go get Shannon for you."
Her ankle had already been injured before; being pulled around by this man made it even more painful now that she felt cold sweat breaking out on her back and breathing becoming heavier by the minute.
"Ranita! I'm talking to you here! Why do I need Shannon?" The smell of alcohol emanating from Brendon became stronger as his eyebrows lifted up in an uncharacteristically wild manner while his eyes turned red from drinking too much.
Not only was he drunk but also seemed somewhat out of control.
This kind of behavior from Brendon was something Ranita had never seen before.
