Chapter 71 Abdominal Pain

"Miss Bowman, don't you agree?" Julia leaned in with a warm smile. "You always have Mr. Stuart's favor, so the gift will surely be amazing! Just remember to treat me to dinner when that happens!"

Ranita frowned, not wanting to delve further into the conversation with Julia. Instead, she made a noncommittal sound and headed towards her small office. Unfortunately, Julia followed her. Observing Ranita looking through some materials, Julia kindly asked, "The video conference is about to start. Are the materials ready? Do you need any assistance?"

"Thank you!" Ranita pondered for a moment before handing Julia a flash drive. "Could you please print out the information inside? That's all I need."

Julia took the flash drive and left, while Ranita quickly skimmed through the material. She hadn't turned many pages when Brendon called her on the internal line, requesting her to bring over some documents.

It was an order from their boss, one she couldn't refuse even if she wanted to.

Fortunately, Shannon had already left, providing Ranita with some relief. She handed over the documents, and only then did Brendon notice that hers was still inside.

"Mr. Stuart... I apologize... my..." Her words were cut off as a sudden pain shot through her stomach!

"Hiss!" Ranita clutched her abdomen, placing one hand on the table, as cold sweat broke out on her forehead and back due to the fear accompanying the sudden pain.

What was happening? Could something be wrong with the baby?

"Ranita? What's wrong?" Brendon was also taken aback, quickly standing up and reaching out his hand towards the visibly pale Ranita.

"I'll take you to the hospital!" At this moment, Brendon no longer cared about the impending video conference; human life took precedence over everything else!

But Ranita couldn't let him handle such matters! Instead, she grabbed his arm and shook her head, gesturing for him to help her sit down on the sofa.
