Chapter 94 Resolving Hatred

"Nothing else. Mom, go rest!" Brendon ushered Amiya out of the study.

As soon as she stepped outside, Robert eagerly approached her. Seeing Amiya's gloomy expression, his heart sank.

"Madam..."

"Don't mention Turner's matter again! And tell him not to speak nonsense. If I hear anything from him, don't blame me for being impolite!" Amiya spoke in a calm tone but with a warning undertone.

Fortunately for Robert, she didn't mention his job security. He breathed a sigh of relief and held onto his position.

But inside he harbored resentment towards Ranita.

Amiya returned to her bedroom where Holly was waiting for her. "Mom, how is my brother doing?"

"What can he do? Can I change what he has decided?" Amiya's tone was already unpleasant. She had spent years trying to keep her family in Boulderland Mansion and raise her own son into success but he had turned against her wishes.

"Oh... what about Turner? Will he rat me out if my brother finds out it was me who wanted Turner..." Holly trailed off as Amiya interrupted her mid-sentence.

"What nonsense are you talking about? You didn't even talk to Turner today!"

"Don't bring this up again! Do you understand?"

Holly nodded happily at the thought that as long as it wasn't related to herself then everything would be fine. She clung affectionately onto Amiya's arm and cooed, "Thank you mom! You're so good to me!"

"Hmph! Think about the consequences before doing anything next time. There were so many people at this welcome party today. If something went wrong, it could have easily become gossip fodder." Although she despised Ranita just like everyone else did at Boulderland Mansion, she also didn't want any negative rumors spreading around either.
