Cassie repeated, "We don't need needles. There's only one way to wake my sister up quickly."
"What way?" David asked, eager to find a solution.
Ever since he'd tried that so-called candy Cassie gave him, David was sure Cassie was some kind of expert. Without even checking the pulse, Cassie already had a plan.
Cassie scratched his head, thinking for a moment before saying, "We need a special kind of incense. Burn it for two hours, and that should do the trick."
If he was right, his sister's current state was her body's self-defense kicking in because of a drug. Whoever drugged her must've used something specifically designed for her, which is why she ended up in a coma. But they didn't account for her unusual constitution.
"Special incense?" David knew that aromatherapy could be healing, too.
This traditional method was pretty safe, maybe even more reliable than acupuncture. This young guy was definitely skilled.
"Yeah," Cassie nodded, not realizing all the assumptions David was making. "The thirty-five herbs aren't hard to find, but I don't know how to make them into incense."
His sister used to burn incense to help her body adapt to new medications and build immunity. But aside from mixing up poisons, he never learned how to make incense.
"I know how to make incense," David chimed in.
Cassie's face lit up with relief. "That's awesome... But making incense is pretty taxing. Are you sure you're up for it, Grandpa?"
David chuckled, "Don't worry, old Donald here can handle it."
Every day he was alive was a gift from Mirabella, and he intended to make the most of it.
Cassie glanced at David, deciding to skip the formalities. "Alright, I'll put together a formula soon."
