The Double or more Life of the Fake Heiress (Mirabella) novel Chapter 1706

James couldn't help but notice Mirabella's stellar performance and sighed inwardly. His girlfriend never failed to amaze him—what was he going to do with her constantly raising the bar?

He walked over to the control panel and hit a button to adjust the moving target. Instantly, it began to zip side to side with surprising speed. Mirabella clicked her tongue in response, recognizing James was ready for a real challenge.

James picked up the gun, switching the sniper scope to no-scope mode with a smooth motion. With a casual smirk, he fired, and sure enough, the machine confirmed a bullseye.

Mirabella looked at the scoreboard and couldn't resist giving James a thumbs-up, mouthing, "You're the best, big guy!" She realized she’d missed a chance to flaunt her own talent for blind shots. What a missed opportunity!

James set down the gun and took off his earplugs, turning to Mirabella with a mysterious smile. "You're pretty impressive yourself."

Mirabella shrugged as she removed her earplugs. "So, does this mean we're tied?"

"Call it a win-win," James replied with a raised eyebrow.

Mirabella yawned, agreeing with his take. They decided to skip any more shooting challenges and quickly left the training room.

As they stepped out, they ran into Wyatt, who emerged from the next room looking a bit shell-shocked. Spotting Mirabella, his expression was a mix of surprise and confusion. Wasn't she supposed to be a novice? How did she get the hang of shooting in just one go? And her speed in assembling and disassembling guns was on par with a pro.

Mirabella noticed Wyatt's curious look. "What's up? Having trouble teaching?"

Wyatt's lips twitched. It seemed Ms. Mirabella had a bit of a blind spot regarding her brother's capabilities. Clearing his throat, he said, "No, your brother picks things up incredibly fast. He nailed it in one try." He mused that in another field, this could be a case of the student surpassing the teacher.

Mirabella forced a satisfied smile. "Glad he didn't make me look bad."
