Jeremiah was thrilled to find that Kylie had not only attended the conference but also finished her research paper.

"It's wonderful that you can attend this conference! It will greatly benefit both medical advancement and the promotion of traditional medicine. Do you have a preference for the speaking order?"

Kylie grinned. "The order doesn't matter. I'll follow the organizer's arrangements."

"Great! I'll notify the committee immediately and make the necessary arrangements."

After they finished talking, Kylie borrowed Jeremiah's library card. Tenby University's library housed the largest book collection in the country and was known as the most beautiful library. She chose an intriguing medical text and looked for a place to read.

Two women emerged from the general section nearby, holding the most recent edition of a fashion magazine. Iris had planned to find a quiet place to browse the magazine but was caught off guard when she spotted Kylie. Seeing her in a designer dress instantly soured Iris' mood.

Kylie was wearing Ghezad's limited edition dress, which Iris had been wanting to get her hands on. What was more infuriating was that Kylie had both beauty and a great figure, and even her demeanor was striking.

No one would associate her with the shabby country bumpkin who once lived in a sanctuary. She had completely transformed into another person.

Iris felt a deep sense of crisis surge within her. She clenched her knuckles so tightly that her nails dug into her palms. She hated Kylie for standing in her way and enjoying what could've been her life!

The woman beside Iris followed her gaze and spotted Kylie. She gasped. "What is she doing in Tenby University's library?"

"The university's management is getting worse. I can't believe they let anyone in."

Already fuming, Iris had found the perfect target for her frustration. Without hesitation, she strode over to Kylie.

"Why are you here?" She folded her arms and looked down at Kylie condescendingly.

"Why can't I be here?" Kylie found it amusing and let out a soft chuckle.
