At the next moment, Iris snatched Kylie's lanyard and flipped it over. She was eager to see if her assumption was correct. However, she almost gasped when she got a good look at the name on it.
She was taken aback. Then, she looked at it with disbelief once more. She needed to be sure she saw correctly.
After that, she snapped out of it and sneered. "I have to say that I've severely underestimated how good you are at flirting with men."
Kylie grinned and spoke with thinly-veiled sarcasm. "It's a good thing I didn't make that mistake with you then. You have always been snobbish when you actually can't afford to do it."
"Why, you!"
It was a brief and effortless insult, but Iris was absolutely stumped, and her face turned red with anger.
The smile on Kylie's face faded. She raised her hand and said coldly, "Get out of my way, snob."
Iris instinctively widened her eyes and raised her hand to guard her face. She was acting cowardly, but she couldn't stop herself from taunting Kylie.
"What's the matter? Are you going to slap me in front of all these people because you've got someone backing you?"
However, Kylie merely adjusted her lanyard. "I'm in a good mood today. So, I'm not going to waste my time on a snob.
"My mentor had always taught me to be kind to everyone, but it's people like you who gave me an epiphany. If I'm kind to everyone, that makes me a doormat. So, I should defend myself whenever someone stepped over the line."
"You're the one who stepped over the line. Just how wicked can you be? You ruined my face. That's the same as ruining me!"
Kylie curled her lips and smirked. Then, she enunciated, "You'll know just how different it feels when I'm actually out for your life."
She fully intended to take everything back from Iris and then some. Getting Samuel back was just the beginning.
