he agreed Rebecca returned unhappily to Tanya’s side. Tanya offered her a few words of comfort before leaving to look for Nate Nate had also reserved an entire inn When Tanya asked if she and Rebecca could stay as well,
Rebecca walked into the inn with a smile on her face. “Thank you, Mr. Yule.
He simply nodded to her coolly before returning to his own room.
After dinner, Queente went around the inn, taking photos on her phone. She bumped into Rebecca around a corner.
Rebecca reached out and grabbed her by the arm before she could leave. “Queente, are you still angry with me?
Queenie shook her off, “Hmph!”
tears falling d
Rebecca grabbed her again, this time with tears falling down her face.
“I really didn’t know there was something wrong with the ghost shrine back then. I simply thought that it would grant any wish. Didn’t you like Kevin? That’s the reason I brought you to the shrine.”
Queenie took a deep breath. “Rebecca, do you still think I’m angry with you because of the ghost shrine?”
Rebecca looked tearfully at Queenie.
If not the ghost shrine, then what?
Queenie sneered, “I’ve fallen out with Kevin, but our families have a cooperative relationship. Did you know that?”
Rebecca nodded.
“Kevin visited us to apologize. Do you know what he said then?”
Rebecca remained silent.
“He said that you knew he and Farrah were in a relationship and that you personally witnessed them kiss. In fact, he thought you had long informed me of his situation.”
“L.L..” Rebecca shook her head hurriedly. “I didn’t know, I really didn’t know about the relationship between them. If I had known, there was no way I would’ve introduced Farrah to Harvey.”
Queenie shoved Rebecca’s hand off and accused, “That’s right! What exactly were you thinking, Rebecca? You obviously knew that Kevin and Farrah were in a relationship, yet you still introduced Kevin to me and Farrah to Harvey.
ts you so well, and yet
“Sure, I have a bad temper and we sometimes fight, so I can understand you trying to get at me. But Harvey treats you so you… Rebecca, where’s your conscience?”
Rebecca burst into tears. “Queenie, please believe me. I didn’t do it on purpose. I really didn’t know!”
She felt miserable, with tears sliding down her face like a waterfall
Queenie moved to leave but then turned back, her rage boiling at the sound of her crying
She grabbed Rebecca’s chin and said through gritted teeth, “You’re saying you didn’t know? If you didn’t know, then how could you have threatened Farrah with this information? Farrah told me she never wanted to go on a blind date. She told me she had no desire to get together with Harvey.
“You were the one who forced her to go on a blind date with Harvey by blackmailing her using your knowledge of her and Kevin’s relationship.”
Rebecca stopped crying. She started to tremble as she shook her head repeatedly.
“Still not going to admit it? Are you going to claim that Kevin and Farrah are lying? Let me tell you one thing–Farrah is no fool. She didn’t become the secretary to the Norton family through her relationship with Kevin alone. She recorded everything.”
Rebecca’s eyes went wide at that, her breath catching in her throat “L”
“Just how wicked are you, Rebecca? You went looking for Farrah two days after Madison returned to the Locke residence. Was it really all a coincidence?”
