Chapter 111
Rebecca stood up from the ground, aggressively wiping away her tears.
Her voice was full of murderous intent as she ground out,
“Queenie!”
Mia and Yara, who had witnessed the whole scene, watched Rebecca leave with wide eyes.
Yara tutted. “Women sure are scary.”
“I’m going to tell Madison,” said Mia.
Yara floated after her, both astral bodies slipping into Madison’s room. They animatedly relayed everything that happened downstairs to Madison
Mia was furious. “How can someone be so terrible? I told you she was a bad person.”
“Even if you’re not related by blood, you’re still family! This is too much,” exclaimed Yara.
Madison was in the middle of meditating. She didn’t show the slightest reaction to all their gossip.
“Madison doesn’t seem to be angry,” Mia observed.
“This is the norm for cultivators–to remain emotionally unaffected by external influences,” explained Yara. She added, “I don’t like
She floated back out, dragging Mia along with her. “What’s so great about cultivation? There’s so much fun to be found in the material world.”
The room was quiet for a while.
Then, a voice rang out.
“You already knew, didn’t you?” Sebastian asked.
Madison opened her eyes slowly and looked in his direction. “Yes”
He asked again, “Why haven’t you told Harvey?”
“Even if I were to tell him, Harvey wouldn’t believe me.”
Harvey might be angry at Rebecca, but deep down, he still thought of her as a sister. Telling him something like this without any evidence would only invite trouble.
Sebastian floated over to hover in front of Madison. He crouched down to look her in the eye.
“How would you know that if you don’t even try?”
Madison frowned lightly.
“I say Harvey will believe you,” Sebastian declared.
Madison’s frown deepened.
His lips curved up in a smile at her expression “Do you want to make a bet?”
She shook her head. “No. Say no to the three vices–porn, gambling, and drugs!”
Sebastian was startled at her words. Then, he started laughing out loud, covering his eyes with a hand. He hadn’t laughed this freely in years.
Perhaps due to being an astral body, his emotional perception and responses had become a lot stronger. He didn’t have to worry about laughing too loudly either, as it wouldn’t affect anything
Madison tilted her head slightly, watching Sebastian with confusion. Once he had finally stopped laughing, she asked, “What are you laughing about?”
Had she said something funny?
Sebastian crouched down again, amusement written all over his face.
“Alright, let’s not make a bet. But I can tell you with certainty y that Harvey will definitely believe you ”
Madison said nothing.

Chapter 111
“Madison, you’re not alone in this world.” Sebastian had a profound look in his eyes. “There are people who care for you, people who worry over you, and people who unconditionally believe in you. And there are also… people who love you.”
The hands Madison had on her knees trembled slightly.
“This matter is really important to Harvey, no? Doesn’t he have a right to know the truth?” asked Sebastian.
Madison pursed her lips.
“Believe me, even without evidence, Harvey will believe you,” he continued.
Madison looked at him, whose eyes held pure determination.
