Chapter 214
Chapter 214
Madison withdrew her hand and put on a faint smile. “I’m not here to audition.”
Rebecca tried to comfort her, thinking Madison was embarrassed. “You don’t have to feel bad. It’s normal not to succeed when you’re not professionally trained or haven’t been to university.”
She added kindly, “It’s fine. You look decent. If you work hard, you can still make a name for yourself in the entertainment industry You’re my sister, so, of course, I’ll help you.”
Madison repeated, “I’m not here to audition.”
Rebecca smiled and brushed it off. “We’re sisters. No need to be shy about it.”
Madison sighed in frustration.
She turned to leave, but Rebecca grabbed her am. “I said I want to help you. Come on, I’ll take you to the set. You’re my sister, and you can’t just leave without making an impression”
Madison stepped back, freeing her arm once more. Her expression turned cold, as did her voice. “I’m not here to audition.”
Rebecca looked at her mockingly. “Why are you here if not to audition, then?”
Before Madison could respond, Lucy’s voice cut in from the distance. “Ms. Locke, Ms. Locke! I’m glad I caught you.”
Lucy panted heavily as she rushed over. “Here’s a pass for our crew. With this, you can come and go freely without
needing a ticket, and security won’t stop you”
She handed the pass to Madison. “Mr. Yeatman said he should have someone pick you up each time, but he thought you might want to come and go as you please, so he asked me to give this to you.”
Lucy’s eyes sparkled with admiration as she l looked at Madison
After Madison accepted the pass, Lucy cautiously asked, “Ms. Locke, will you be in Deatropolis for a while?”
“Yes, I’ll be here,” Madison replied
“Will you be streaming?”
Madison thought for a moment, then nodded. “Yes, I’ll be streaming in the next couple of days.”
Lucy’s eyes lit up. “I’ll be waiting for your stream. Everyone in our crew is a fan of yours.”
Madison smiled gently. “Thank you
Lucy’s excitement bubbled over as she rubbed her hands together. “Take care, Ms. Locke. I’ll head back to work now.” “Alright”
