Chapter 230
In Andtumo, the night was dark, with the occasional muffled sound in the air. It created an unpleasant atmosphere.
“What are you watching?” Alex asked, holding a glass of red wine and leaning in closer to Jessica. He was just in time to see Madison ending her livestream. “Why are you watching the livestream so intently that you’re ignoring me?” Alex sat beside her, wrapping his arm around her neck as he tried to kiss her. Jessica playfully returned the kiss and jokingly said, “Are you seriously jealous because I’m watching a livestream? You’re a guy. That’s so petty of you,” Alex felt uneasy and instinctively replied, “It’s just because I care about you.”
She smiled seductively. “I know. Other men are not as petty as you. I’m putting up with you only because I adore you. You can’t keep acting like this!” Alex sighed in relief. “Alright, I understand.”
The two of them embraced again, and after an exhilarating experience together, he held her close. His mind wandered to his previous plans. He wanted Jessica to love him passionately, go through an abortion for him, and give up everything for him.
During their time together, they had been intimate, and he never took any precautions. Perhaps Jessica was already pregnant with his child. “When are you going to announce our relationship on social media? Didn’t you say I’m the person you love the most?” he asked.
Jessica gently picked up the silk robe and slowly put it on. As she got dressed, she asked with a sniffle, “What about you? Do you love me?” “Of course, I love you… So, am I the one you love the most?” Alex replied.
“Absolutely.”
Jessica turned to him with tears in her eyes. “Really? But I overheard you tell your ex–girlfriend that I’m the person you despise the most.”
Alex jumped out of bed and rushed to comfort her with an embrace. “Don’t listen to her nonsense! It’s because I’ve always been thinking about you and because I love you that I said I despise you!”
Leaning against his chest, Jessica sobbed out the words, “Really? But you treated your exes so well. You bought them bags, cars, and houses… What have you done for me?”
She lifted her head. “You’ve only bought me flowers and a piece of jewelry… Alex, do you really love me?”
Hearing that, he quickly replied, “Of course, I love you! The things I bought for them were all…”
Bags and jewelry weren’t even that valuable, and cars and houses were things that could be reclaimed after a breakup.
“If you want, I can buy them for you.”
Jessica cuddled against him. “Those are not the things I desire. I want to know that you genuinely love me, that you adore me more than you do them… Alex, I truly want to believe you, but these things make me question your feelings.”
“Don’t worry, I love you much more than I loved them. Whatever they have, you’ll have double. Whatever they don’t have, you’ll have it too.”
As long as he could win Jessica over, he was willing to pay any price.
After saying this, Jessica gently embraced him and leaned in for a kiss.
“So, can you publicize our relationship on social media now?” Alex asked.
She looked at him and said, “I really want to announce this to the world, Alex. Ever since I met you again, I’ve known you’re the love of my life. But…” “But what…”
Jessica opened her friend list. “You can see for yourself the kind of friends I have. Look at this guy–Mr. Thorne, the heir of the Thorne Tourism Agency. This is Mr. Zelnick A newcomer to the jewelry industry. And this one…”
