Chapter 285
It was a riverside mansion.
Madison accepted the gift and said a simple thank you.
Jason pursed his lips.
He then raised an eyebrow at Rebecca and pulled out an envelope. “Ta–da! Here you go!”
Rebecca took it, her eyes widening in surprise. “An invitation to the Risha Red Carpet! Is it for me?”
Jason beamed with pride. “Of course! Haven’t you been mentioning how much you want to walk the Risha Red Carpet? I managed to get a spot for you! Impressive, right?”
“Impressive! So impressive! Jason, I love you so much!”
Jason smiled. “So, do you love Ethan or me more?”
“I love you both!”
“No way! You can only choose one!”
Ethan crossed his arms, pretending to be upset. “Pick one! Who’s your favorite brother?”
Rebecca furrowed her brows. “I won’t choose! I love both of you!”
Ethan and Jason exchanged helpless glances. One ruffled her hair while the other pinched her cheek.
“You! Always so bossy! Don’t worry. We love you the most!”
The three siblings were warm and affectionate, making Madison feel particularly isolated.
“Looks like the Locke family really put in some effort! Those who crave wealth get money, and those who cherish family get affection. It’s the best of both worlds!” a guest quietly sneered.
“Maybe Madison is actually delighted. After all, she doesn’t care much about family ties.”
“Seriously…”
Jordan clenched his fists. “This is infuriating! How can Ethan and Jason do this? It’s like slapping Ms. Madison in public! How is she supposed to fit in with the folks from Riverview after this? It’s driving me crazy! Are the other members of the Locke family blind?”
“After all, it’s their family affair. If I had known the Locke family would treat Maddie like this, I should’ve just adopted her as our goddaughter. “Josephine sighed.
That would have been better than having Madison suffer in the Locke family.
Who would have thought the Lockes would be so blatant with their biased actions?
Regardless of how they felt about her, Madison was still one of the Lockes. They shouldn’t be humiliating her like this.
Just then, a sharp voice broke through the crowd. “Madison! You scammer, give me back my 300 grand!”
A couple suddenly charged out from the crowd, followed by several others.
One of them held up a phone that was livestreaming the confrontation.
“Viewers, take a look at this woman! She’s a scam artist! She swindled Mr. Robertson out of his family’s entire savings!”
Madison recognized them. They were the parents of the student she had saved from a soul–exiting state in the hospital–Mr. and Mrs. Robertson!
Kenneth’s face was drenched in tears. “That 300 grand was all the money we had! You scammer! You claimed to be an expert and that you could save my son, and then you took all our money! You even took my son’s bracelet worth tens of thousands!”
Carol collapsed, wailing and throwing a tantrum. “You’re already so rich. Why do you have to scam ordinary people like us? We can’t go on living! We might as well just die here!”
Alongside Kenneth and Carol were several young women. One yelled at Madison, “It’s you! Seeing YourWorld, you cyberbullied Megan and forced her to quit the industry! No wonder Megan quit just from what you said. So, it turns out there’s capital power backing you!”
Megan’s fans furiously cursed at Madison.
However, Madison’s gaze was fixed on another woman standing among the crowd.

Chapter 286
That was the woman who had appeared in her livestream before, Ivy.
Compared to the confidence she had shown that day, today’s Ivy had a cold, sinister look in her eyes. Her face was filled with a murderous
intent.
All the guests quickly retreated after witnessing this scene, murmuring among themselves.
“I heard this rich lady from the Locke family does some kind of livestreaming, and she’s quite famous.”
“As a daughter of a wealthy family, does she really need to resort to this to enter the entertainment industry? The Locke family has plenty of resources.”
“She’s just in it for the money; livestreaming pays quickly! Didn’t you hear just now? It seems she even got paid 300 grand one time!”
“What a petty mindset! Three hundred grand is nothing–just the price of a handbag!”
Surrounding voices buzzed with comments, echoing the accusations from Kenneth and Carol.
Fans hurled insults indiscriminately while other guests pointed and whispered.
William’s and Tanya’s expressions darkened quickly. “Where’s the security? Get the security over here!”
Ethan and Jason stood around Rebecca. “Becky, don’t go over there. It’s too dangerous! Who knows what these people might do?”
Before anyone could react, Ivy suddenly let out a scream. With a swift motion, she drew a dagger and lunged at Madison.
“It’s all your fault! You cursed my love with Damian! If it weren’t for you, Damian and I would definitely be happily together! I’m going to kill you!”
As her screams echoed, Ivy was already in front of Madison.
Madison swiftly raised a hand to block her and snatched the dagger while pinning her down with the other hand.
“You and Damian can never be together!”
“You liar! Why can’t we be together? We love each other! It’s all your fault! Madison, I curse you! I curse you to die a terrible death! I curse you
to have no child! I curse you…”
Ivy was no longer in her right mind, spewing the most venomous words at Madison.
“I’ll kill you! I want Damian back! You owe me my love!”
Filled with rage, Kenneth and Carol stood up as well. “You owe us money! You owe us our money!”
