A faint smirk played at the corners of his lips as he looked at Davina with a teasing glint in his eyes. “Oh really? Perfect. I happen to like homewreckers who get in the middle of someone else’s relationship”
Davina glanced at Jude, unimpressed.
“Are you nuts?” the girl beside them sputtered, clearly in disbelief.
Jude leaned back casually, his expression nonchalant. “What a coincidence, he said, raising an eyebrow. “I’m a little crazy, and
she’s a doctor.”
The group stared at each other in awkward silence.
“She’s clearly just some broke nobody after your money one of them blurted out
Jude’s smile deepened as he turned to Davina. “Well, lucky for her, I’ve got money to burn.”
But there was a shift in Jude’s expression–subtle, but unmistakable. He was beginning to lose patience.

“What are you talking about? You’re being way out of line, Davina!” The same girl shouted, her voice high and shrill.
Davina tilted her head, mockingly curious. “Did you eat something rotten? Your mouth smells like garbage.
It took them a few seconds to register the insult; she was indirectly scolding them for running their mouths. Davina, you–you little bit–r
But before the girl could finish her sentence, her lips froze. No sound came out.
Panic washed over her face as she tried to scream, but she lost her voice, and not even a whisper escaped.
The others recuded in alarm
“Lily Lily, what’s wrong! Don’t scare me!”
Davina calmly pulled her hand back and picked up a damp towel nearby, wiping her fingers like nothing had happened.
Jude’s eyes narrowed, his gaze locked on a tiny glint near the girl’s jawline.

She had flicked it at the girl with nothing more than a wave of her hand.
