Davina couldn’t shake the thought of how today might change Stella’s standing in the Summers.
Would they still spoil her the way they always had, or would things shift now?
Following Sacha, Davina walked to the rear of the banquet hall, where Marlon was casually chatting with Grace.
“Mom, Davina’s here,” Sacha said with a smile, guiding Davina toward them.
As soon as Grace saw Davina, her face broke into a warm, welcoming smile.
“Davina, Grace said affectionately, “Come here. Let me get a good look at you.”
Grace appeared radiant, a stark contrast to when Davina had last seen her.
Back then, Grace had only seen Davina as her doctor–someone who had saved her life.
But today, the dynamic between them had clearly changed; a closer, more personal bond had formed. After all, today, Davina was her granddaughter.
Davina smiled softly in return. “Don’t move. Let me do a quick check–up.”
Grace settled comfortably into a chair without hesitation.
The Barlows family members around them tried not to laugh, struggling to hold back their amusement.
Grace, usually full of energy and impossible to pin down, had always been resistant to slowing down, especially at home. But now, with Davina telling her not to move, she was as still as could be.
Davina began her check–up routine, carefully examining Grace.
“Open your mouth.

Her fingers gently traced the back of Grace’s neck, then moved under her collarbone before checking her pulse.
As Davina worked, the room fell silent. Every eye was on her as they waited for the check–up to finish.
Ever since Davina had impressed everyone during her last consultation with the Barlows, they had learned to stay quiet while she worked

After a moment, Davina stood up.
“Your recovery is progressing well, but it seems like you’ve been pushing yourself too hard lately. You should cut back on physical activity and rest more,” she advised.
Sacha laughed. “I told you to take it easy and stick to moderate exercise. But you’re still out there dancing every morning and Evening
Grace couldn’t help but feel a little sheepish, like a child caught in the act.
Clearing her throat, she said, “I know. I’ll be more careful from now on
Marlon, however, couldn’t let it go. His tone was a bit sharp. “Davina, why does she get a follow–up while I’ve only had one injection?”
