The Good Girl's Revenge novel Chapter 117

Chloe's bright eyes fell on Derek, and then she smiled. "The person I love, he's here today."

All the people present followed her sight and looked up. At first glance, they saw Derek standing there.

The man just stood there casually, but he had an extraordinary and unique temperament. Although they could not see his features clearly, it was haunting to just have a look at him from afar.

"Be together! Be together!"

It was unknown who started to cheer. But there were always people who were happy to see it.

Derek frowned. It seemed that he had never expected Chloe to do this.

Seeing that he was in silence and probably didn't want to respond, Asher felt a little anxious and leaned closer to Derek. "There are so many people around. Can you embarrass a girl in public?"

Chloe stood on the stage, her hands were actually soaked in a cold sweat. However, she didn't look panicked, still maintaining her elegant and graceful appearance.

Derek saw the weakness in her eyes. At last, he did not refuse.

"Go down, or she'll die of embarrassment."

Asher hurried Derek down the stairs, and Chloe was relieved. At the moment Derek appeared, she rushed up to hug him. She said emotionally, "I knew you wouldn't refuse me."

Derek's face was expressionless with his hand hanging in the air. He took her out and avoided the sight of the onlookers before pulling away Chloe.

"Why are you so presumptuous?"

Derek's tone was unpleasant and he was used to controlling everything. He hated the feeling of being led by others.

What Chloe had done had crossed his line.

"I..." Chloe looked at the gloominess in his eyes and suddenly felt aggrieved. "I just wanted to show my affection to you. I like you and I want to get you back, so I did it."

"Derek, I know that my willful departure had hurt you a lot, but actually, I was waiting for you at the airport the other night. I thought you would come."

Derek listened to Chloe quietly.

It was impossible to say that he didn't have a problem with her departure.

Back then, Chloe suddenly said that she wanted to go abroad to pursue her dream and not get engaged to him for the time being. Derek said that if she really left, then they would be over.

He never knew that Chloe had waited for him.

"In those three years, I was struggling. I was wondering why you didn't come to find me. To be determined and not go back to J City to look for you, I persuaded my parents to go abroad and started over. It wasn't until I graduated that I mustered the courage to ask what had happened to you all these years. It was then when I found out that you had been in the hospital bed for three years. You don't know how deeply I regretted then."

"If I had known that you had a car accident for finding me, or if I had known what you had gone through, I would have come back against all odds. Now, it's too late to say that, but I don't want to just give up on you and our relationship, so I'm back. This time, I won't leave."

Chloe said it with feelings, which was all genuine.

After Derek heard this, he realized that the thorn that he had been burying in his heart was pulled away by something. He felt a long-lost pleasure.

When he woke up, he had thought about what he and Chloe were going to be. But after he heard she explained all the conflicts between the two of them, he finally realized that the relationship was long gone.

He was only unwilling to be ruthlessly abandoned by Chloe. The young love was beautiful but was in the past. The past was the past.
