The Good Girl's Revenge novel Chapter 193

Derek looked back at Parker with his eyes telling Parker that the latter didn't dare to do anything.

Parker's eyes turned red, and in an instant, he thought of all the things that had happened to him in the past. He was about to rush up with his fist clenched when the door was suddenly opened. It was Jenny; she saw the scene and held Parker down immediately.

"Calm down, Parker."

If he hit Derek here, he would get in huge trouble.

Parker was held down by Jenny, calmed down, and took a few breaths. Derek sneered as if laughing at Parker's incompetence and then walked out.

"What's going on?" Jenny watched Derek leave and said, "What did he say?"

With Derek's personality, he must have come here in person for some purposes, and he must have done something to make Parker lose his temper.

"He sent that thing." Parker had always been frank to Jenny. He pointed at the flash drive on the table and looked sullenly.

Jenny frowned and walked over to plug the flash drive into the computer; her face took on a ghastly expression after she had scanned the contents in it.

There wasn't much content in it, but all of it was deadly. When Parker started to develop his career, he took a few short cuts in the gray area. Now, he was finally about to whitewash his past; if the things he had done were exposed, his previous efforts would be in vain!

"How did he find out about these things..." Jenny was shocked and terrified. She thought that although there was a gap between Parker and Derek, the gap was not that large; it turned out that the Xaviers was much more powerful than she thought.

She could never let Parker act impulsively and destroy himself and everything he had.

"Parker... Is that woman that important to you?"

Jenny couldn't help but ask.

"I owe her. I have to pay the price. Jenny, I'll take care of this myself. You should leave and don't get involved."

Parker said firmly without hesitation. Now, he could only prepare for the worst; he didn't care if he needed to fight Derek to death, but he could not allow Meredith to be taken away by another man while he himself was again helpless.

Jenny clenched her fist and her long nails cut through her palms. She was moved by the fact that Parker still cared about her under the circumstances, and she was more certain that she would not let Parker act impulsively.

Although Jenny knew it was unfair to Meredith, she could not watch the man she loved to bring destruction on himself.

Not long after, the assistant ran in and said there was about to have a meeting. After Parker left, Jenny left as well. Instead of following Parker's instruction to go abroad as soon as possible, she went to Xavier Group.

"I want to see your president. I have news of Meredith."

Jenny only said that to the front desk, and soon she was invited upstairs.

Derek stood by the window and looked down at the busy street when Jenny knocked on the door and walked in, "Mr. Xavier, I have news about Meredith."

Derek looked back and didn't seem surprised to see her, "Go ahead."

"Before I say anything, I hope you can promise me that once you know her whereabouts, don't delve into Parker's past anymore and let him off."

"Why do you think you can negotiate with me?"

Derek hated being threatened the most in his life, and this woman didn't seem to know who was in charge.

"I know where Meredith is. It's not a big deal for me to kill her if I want. Parker has feelings for her, but I don't. I can't wait for her to disappear..."
