After finishing the talking, Meredith felt her face burning hot, but she did not want to alienate Derek for no reason.
Besides, Derek was so busy right now. If Meredith did not come to Derek and watch him, and another woman like the one appeared today came to Derek again, Meredith would be hurt devastatingly.
Meredith insisted. Derek looked at her for a few seconds and said, "Then you can stay."
Meredith nodded and called Damian, saying that she was not going home tonight.
Damian naturally knew that Derek had come, but he did not ask more. However, Meredith was very curious, "Damian, is he in some trouble now? Why do I think something is wrong with him?"
Damian was shocked by this, but then it occurred to Damian that Meredith had not been aware of the engagement, "No, what's the matter? Why don't you just ask for it?"
Damian didn't dare to say anything. If Damian said something that he should not have said and caused some trouble, he was far from being capable to bear the consequences.
"Maybe the boss has been working too hard lately and is under a lot of pressure. Please be more considerate."
With some random excuse, Damian fooled Meredith and then hung up the phone.
Meredith was also somewhat helpless. She felt that these people were hiding something from her, but she did not know what it was.
Could it be that the Masons was making some conspiracy again?
Judging by the character of Ava and Clara, it didn't seem impossible.
A grain of irritation flashed through Meredith's mind. While at the moment Derek had already walked into the bathroom. Meredith then called without any concerns.
