The Good Girl's Revenge novel Chapter 241

The next few days, Meredith's life was very peaceful and too calm that even she couldn't believe it would be.

When it rained, someone came and gave her an umbrella. When she couldn't get a taxi, someone came and gave her a ride.

She, which had been unlucky for more than 20 years, seemed to suddenly become lucky at this moment.

Meredith smiled when she thought of this. Maybe this was her new beginning, and her new life was about to start here.

Just as she was thinking, a familiar Rolls-Royce stopped not far away.

How could Meredith not recognize it? It was Derek's car. The moment she saw the car, she would remember the humiliation and pain she had felt at the hotel entrance that day because of this man.

What was Derek doing here?

Damian stopped the car and wanted to open the door for Derek. "She saw you."

Derek immediately saw Meredith standing not far away. Something was so strange. When he got close to her, he unconsciously noticed the woman, just like it was an instinct.

"Miss Mason?" Damian noticed Meredith now. He didn't notice what was going on here. "So, are we leaving?"

After all, Derek had been helping Meredith secretly. If he was found out, all his previous efforts would be useless.

"No." Derek shook his head. He looked through the window and met Meredith's eyes. She had noticed them and recognized him.

Leaving now would be even more suspicious.

"I'll go down and talk to her."

Derek tugged at his tie. His heart was beating faster because of this simple meeting.

It was only a few days since he had seen her, but he missed her so much. He had been watching her movements secretly all this time, but when he thought of meeting her face to face, he was not as calm as he had thought.

Derek got out of the car and walked towards the hospital. Meredith saw the tall and straight figure getting closer and closer, and her heart beat faster unconsciously.

Why was he here? Wasn't he getting engaged? What was he up to?

Meredith tried her best to calm her breathing and remain expressionless. She did not want to seem fragile or nostalgic at all in front of this man, because he would only mock her.

Derek walked over but did not speak to Meredith. The two of them, like strangers, brushed past each other coldly.

No one spoke first, and there was a strange vibe between the two of them.

Finally, Meredith lost her cool and asked, "Mr. Xavier, why are you here?"

When Xavier heard her cold voice, his expression did not change at all. She sounded like she had calmed herself.

He was surprised that she could be so philosophical now.

"I don't need to explain anything to you, do I?"

Derek clenched his fists. It was the last time he had asked those people to do as he had told, and then he was going home.

But Derek's tone did not change at all. Meredith could not help but sneer in her heart. " I don't care what you're doing here. I just have to be on guard in case you would do something that will hurt my mom and me."
