Derek added, "The design manuscript is very good. If we win in the end, it will be a good promotion for our cooperation."
Speaking of cooperation, Nora became more serious and nodded, "Okay, I'll do it when I go to work tomorrow."
"Yeah."
The promotion of the collaboration was just a pretext. Derek had asked Damian to investigate Nora and read Nora's previous works. He knew she was very talented in design.
Perhaps because of the small size of the SPECTER Group, or perhaps for some other reason, Nora did not have any record of winning, which made him very confused.
As a designer, fame was very important. Fame came from awards, and awards came from competitions. Derek hoped to make Nora more famous so that her career would be much smoother.
The next day.
Nora took a good look at the competition Derek mentioned. With one day to go before the competition closed, she immediately sent the manuscript electronically.
Suddenly, she felt a sharp glance behind her as she had always been sensitive. She turned around and saw Avril in a daze.
Since last week's competition, they hadn't seen each other for days because Avril asked for leave.
Avril folded her arms around her chest, still looking very proud. However, Avril looked at Nora in a strange and unpredictable way. Nora did not know what Avril meant, but she knew that Avril must still be thinking about the competition.
Nora pursed her lips and looked away to continue her work.
Even though she had a good temper, she was not a coward. The last time she beat Avril fair and square. No matter what the other party thought, she had a clear conscience.
In the afternoon.
As soon as it was time to come off duty, the people in the Design A Department left one after another. Soon, Nora was alone in the office.
Thinking about her return last night, she decided not to work overtime. It was the same for her to take her work back to do it. After packing up, she stood up and went to the bathroom.
Nora did not notice that there was someone quietly following her.
Avril stood outside the bathroom, listening to what was going on inside. She narrowed her eyes and walked in with her lips curled.
She took the mop from behind the door, quietly inserted it into the handle of the door and it stuck. Then she stood on the stool with a bucket of cold water. She poured down the cold water without hesitation.
"Ah..."
Avril threw the bucket away, clapped her hands, and listened to the screams inside. A glimmer of satisfaction flashed through her eyes. She walked out leisurely in her high heels, turned on the fan in the bathroom and turned off the light.
Design Department had four sectors, occupying two floors. There are two sectors on each floor, one to the left and one to the right, with a space between them.
The A Department was quite large, and the bathroom was at the end of the department corridor. The employees were off work. It could be said that Nora couldn't get any help.
At this moment, Nora was drenched, and the cold water made her shiver. The exhaust fan behind her whirled quickly, and the wind blew on her, making her feel cold.
Although it was summer, she still felt cold.
There were a lot of water and broken ice on the ground. She took a deep breath and tried to open the door, but found that even if she opened the bolt, she couldn't open the door.
Nora's eyes widened. Finally, she panicked and kept banging on the door.
"Is there anyone? Is there anyone out there? Someone here is locked. Anybody? Help..."
There was only her voice in the empty bathroom. As soon as she stopped, it was very quiet. Nora's face became paler and paler, not knowing whether it was because of the cold or because of the panic.
Suddenly, she stepped on a piece of broken ice. She slipped and fell to the floor.
