The Good Girl's Revenge novel Chapter 453

Meredith went to the bathroom as the auction went on halfway.

She was walking with the hem of her skirt held in her hand. Around the corner, someone came from the other side, she was caught off guard and bumped into that person.

"Ah..."

Meredith was startled and steadied herself, and then she found a young woman in a dress fell to the ground.

Her expression changed and she immediately stepped forward to help her up, "Miss, I'm so sorry. Are you okay? I didn't mean to bump into you."

Caroline stood up, patted the dust off her body, looked at Meredith up and down quickly, and then raised a friendly smile.

"I'm okay. It's not your fault. I didn't expect someone to suddenly appear. I was so scared that I accidentally fell to the ground. It has nothing to do with you."

Seeing her being nice and generous, Meredith was relieved and had a good impression of her. She smiled and said, "I'm glad you're okay."

"Are you here to join the auction? There are so many exits and bathrooms in this auction house. It's some sort of destiny to meet each other. Nice to meet you."

"My name is Caroline, and you?" Caroline asked suddenly.

Hearing her name, Meredith was stunned. Her son had reported to her every day. Every day, she could hear the same name.

That name was Caroline. It was hard for her not to remember it.

Caroline, a young woman who suddenly moved into the Xaviers, the granddaughter of an old comrade of Mr. Xavier, had returned home recently.

Meredith had never expected that the woman she accidentally bumped into would be Caroline. What a coincidence.

Meredith's expression froze as she thought about it, and she quickly regained her composure, "My name is Meredith. Nice to meet you."

Caroline had observed her expression, her eyes twinkling, and she thought to herself, "it seems that Meredith has known about her?"

"Where did she find out? It couldn't have been Derek who told her, could it?"

Caroline couldn't figure out for a moment. Since this Meredith knew who she was, Caroline had an idea.

"Meredith, what a nice name. Are you going to the bathroom? Let's go together."

As she spoke, she turned around and left. Meredith had no choice but to follow her.

Caroline stood by the table to refine her makeup. When she took out the powder box, she seemed to be exerting too much force, and something inside dropped on the ground.

"Ah..."

She screamed in surprise, then hurriedly put her makeup tools in her bag and washed her hands.

Seeing this, Meredith subconsciously bent over to help her pick it up. It was the invitation to the party.

"Thank you, Meredith, but it's wet. Is it invalid? It's my first time attending a party like this. I don't know if this invitation will be of any use later."

Meredith comforted her, "Don't worry. This invitation is just a confirmation. You won't need it later."

"Really? Then I'm relieved."

"Hey, I told my mother-in-law that I didn't want to come to this auction. She insisted that I should attend more social activities since I've just come back." Caroline looked helpless.

Her words made Meredith's heart skip a beat, "Your mother-in-law?"
