The Good Girl's Revenge novel Chapter 51

Leo had great strength that Meredith couldn't pull her hand back at all. Hearing his words, she said, "Then just call the securities. I'm not afraid at all."

Leo glanced at her coldly and called for help, saying that there was a strange person on the VIP floor and had them come over to deal with it.

Meredith waited expressionlessly. Not long after, the doctor who had just treated Meredith came over, "What's wrong?"

"Your hospital is so negligent. How can you let someone like this into the VIP floor? Who's going to be responsible if something gets lost or something goes wrong?"

The doctor was speechless when he looked at Leo, who was speaking with justice, "I'm sorry, sir. This lady is my patient. She lives in the VIP ward not far away. She's not a strange person."

Leo's expression froze, as if he didn't expect things to be like this. He looked in the direction the doctor was pointing at. That ward was even more spacious and luxurious than the one he had reserved for his grandfather, and it cost nearly twice as much as his grandfather's ward.

How could Meredith afford such an expensive ward?

"Do you hear that? Let go of me." Meredith said coldly. Although she did not mean to show off because of her connection with Derek, she didn't mind embarrassing him as he was such a shameless person.

Leo relaxed his grip in a daze, obviously finding it hard to accept the fact.

He had always thought that Meredith would be sad, disappointed and poor after leaving him. When Leo saw that she was doing better than him, he immediately became upset.

"Meredith, how can you possibly afford a ward like this? What the hell are you..."

"Doctor, can you let the security guard come to my door for a while? This gentleman seems a little agitated. I'm afraid he'll do something aggressive and hurt me."

"Okay, I'll arrange for someone to come over. Don't worry, our hospital will ensure the safety of every patient."

Meredith nodded and left.

Leo looked at her back and suddenly felt that he knew nothing about this woman at all.

Derek walked out of the conference room and Damian stepped forward, "It seems that Miss Mason is in some trouble at the hospital and she has called a security guard."

Derek frowned. He had been busy at the company for the past few days, so he didn't pay much attention to what was going on at the hospital.

How dare someone stir up trouble at the place under his control?

"I see." Derek's eyes darkened. He hadn't visited Meredith once in the past few days, and she really did not disturb him at all, never causing him any trouble.

If Damian didn't tell him that she was in trouble this time, he probably wouldn't have known.

Although this was a sign that Meredith was wise and sensible, Derek was not in a good mood because of this.

...

When Meredith returned to the ward, she took the medicine. Then, she felt sleepy, so she locked the door to sleep.

She had nothing to do these days except eat and sleep. However, she felt very tired today. She slept until night, and when she opened her eyes, she found that it was already dark.

Meredith groped in the dark to turn on the light, but she failed to do so. The silence and the darkness frightened her, reminding her of the time when she had done something wrong in prison and was locked in a dark room.

"Is... is anyone there? Is there a power outage?" Meredith clutched her cell phone and carefully walked to the door, but the furtive figure in front of the door gave her a fright.

"Who?"

"Who else could it be? Open the door." It was Leo.

Ever since he met Meredith in the afternoon and was taunted by her, he had been angry. When he saw the security guard standing at the door, not allowing anyone, especially him, to get near, he was even angrier.
