The J City
When Professor Lee arrived, Damian arranged for him to rest in the hotel. The next day he quickly took him to the hospital.
He didn't want to delay the operation for a second.
Professor Lee, asked by Meredith and Derek, cooperated very well. He came there the next morning.
First, he checked the CT scans of Penelope's brain and found the location of the blood clot, "This position may have compressed the visual nerve, causing her to lose her sight now. She can have an operation, but it may be dangerous. This position, where the nerves are densely distributed, is important."
Hearing this, Penelope's parents and Damian did not dare to make the decision. After all, if the operation could not restore her vision or other problems occurred, they could not bear the consequence.
"You can think about it. If the patient is willing to go the operation, I will choose the proper time."
"Thank you."
Damian was helpless. Anyway, they had to be patient.
Damian had to send Professor Lee back to the hotel first. But on the way, he suddenly remembered that he was going to another local hospital to see an old friend. Damian had no choice but to send him there.
Just as he was on his way to see Penelope, Mother of Ann called.
"Chen, why did you go out so early in the morning? Aunt Zhang introduced you to a girl who is a university teacher. If you have time, go meet her."
Hearing this, Damian was fretted. He had been busy with Penelope's affairs and had not had the chance to tell his family that he had a girlfriend now.
But according to Penelope's present situation, it didn't seem like a good time to meet his family.
"Mom, I'm very busy right now. I don't have time to meet her. Just refuse her."
"What? How busy are you? You don't have time to have dinner?"
"I'm busy anyway, and I'm not interested in that girl. That's it. I gotta go."
Damian quickly hung up the phone and went back to the hospital.
Mother almost blew up. Was the Xavier Group a sweatshop?
Was Damian working day and night, not having time to go out on a blind date?
Thinking for a while, to avoid her son becoming an old bachelor and being laughed at by her friends, Mother of Ann went to the company, intending to seek justice.
Damian did not know about these things. When he returned to where Penelope was, he saw Mrs. Garcia sitting outside with a sad face.
"Damian, what should we do?"
Now Damian and Penelope were in a relationship, and he was reliable by his usual performance, so Mrs. Garcia gradually preferred to listen to him on Penelope's matter.
"I think Penelope should make the decision herself."
After getting along with Penelope, Damian felt that she was not a fragile person, and this thing that mattered her life, not letting others make decisions for her.
"Aunt, don't worry. I won't leave Penelope no matter what the result of the operation is."
Hearing what Damian said, Mrs. Garcia nodded with relief. She was relieved that her daughter had such a man to take care of.
Damian walked into the ward and looked at Penelope's expression. Her mood seemed normal.
"Penelope, I have something very important to tell you."
Penelope turned to him, "What's the matter?"
When Damian was thinking about how to explain to her the pros and cons of the surgery, he received a call from Mother of Ann, "Chen, where are you now? I'm in your company. I didn't see you."
Hearing this familiar voice, Damian felt boggled.
