In the hospital.
After a few more hours of sleep, Derek finally woke up.
He looked at the bedside the moment he opened his eyes.
A woman seemed to be sleeping at the end of his bed.
"Mer?"
Without thinking, Derek called Meredith's name and was about to ask her to lie on the bed when the woman raised her head. Surprisingly, she was not Meredith.
Evelyn had fallen asleep because she had been too tired and sleepy. She stayed here all night.
But when Derek woke up, he called Meredith's name again.
Evelyn was jealous, but she couldn't show her feelings. "It's me, Derek. Do you feel unwell anywhere? I'll call the doctor to check you out."
When Derek saw that it was Evelyn, the joy on his face disappeared immediately.
He clearly remembered that Meredith had been here. She poured him some water and carefully looked after her.
But now it was not Meredith but this woman who was right here.
What the hell was going on?
"Why are you here?"
Derek asked coldly.
Evelyn answered wrongly, "Why can't I be here? I've been taking care of you all night. Why do you dislike me so much?"
"I didn't ask you to take care of me here. I have a family and I don't need anyone else to take care of me. You can leave now."
Evelyn's pitiful voice didn't move Derek at all.
He didn't ask her to stay here and he was upset to see her.
