But was it even okay to say that? At the very least, it was better left unsaid when Kingston approached her.
"You should get to know her a bit first."
Get to know her? Kingston scratched his head. "I got too nervous earlier and forgot."
After saying that, Kingston turned and walked back. He was brimming with confidence at first, but he froze again when he was three feet away from the woman.
Then he came back to Matthew. "I'm starting to sober up. I need a few more drinks."
Matthew nodded. "Then go ahead and have a few more."
Kingston approached the bar. "Give me a b-bottle."
He was clueless about what to get, so he ended up being super vague.
Smiling, the bartender asked, "Are you sure you want a whole bottle, not just a glass?"
Glancing back at the woman in a red dress, Kingston hurriedly said, "Yeah. I want a bottle. Hurry up. I need it quick."
The bartender nodded. "No problem. What drink are you looking for?"
Kingston urgently called out, "I'm looking for a strong liquor. Make it quick. Get me a bottle of Skol."
The bartender looked at Kingston oddly. "We don't have Skol here."
Frowning, Kingston thought for a bit and stated, "I don't mind paying more, but it needs to pack a punch."
Feeling awkward, the bartender responded, "We don't sell off-premise liquor, but we do have vodka, tequila, whiskey, and brandy. What are you looking for?"
