Chapter 162
“The hometown you wished to return to,” Ethan’s voice sounded nearby.
Snow quickly looked up. Seeing Ethan standing next to her, she was stunned. “What’s going on? I clearly remember drinking the medicine. Didn’t I die?”
Ethan nodded. “You did indeed die.”
Snow understood. “So, you saved me.”
“But…” she lowered her head, speaking softly, I don’t deserve your help.”
She had already made up her mind to die. Even though she had died once and was now brought back to life, her thoughts had not changed.
Ethan removed the silver needles. “Well, someone thought you were worth it.”
“Who?”
“Nina Summers.”
Snow’s eyes suddenly widened. “My senior? Is she safe too?”
Snow quickly looked around. They were in the middle of nowhere, and a young woman stood next to Ethan.
However, she was not Nina. Her appearance, demeanor, and figure were completely different.
“She’s already dead,” Ethan said. “She died fighting her enemy, but before she perished, she used 5 million dollars to beg me to spare your life.”
Snow was stunned. Her senior had used up the entirety of her wealth to ask Ethan to spare her.
“She…” Snow’s eyes welled up with tears. She thought she had nothing left, but her senior had cared for her all along.
Ethan put the needles away and said calmly, “You’ve already died once for Stephen Quinn. “Now, I’m giving you two new choices. Your first choice is to die again.
“Your second is to live once more for Nina, for your parents, and more importantly, for yourself.”
Snow lowered her head slightly. When she heard the second option, she already knew her
answer.
“I believe you’ve made your choice,” Ethan said

Snow got off the gurney and slowly knelt before Ethan. “Thank you for your guidance, Mr. Rivers. I understand now.”
Ethan looked at the desolate surroundings and said, “This place is no longer suitable for living. And before long, Riveria will fall back into chaos. If you stay here, all that awaits you is a dead end. I can arrange a place for you, but you’ll have to pay a price.”
Snow said softly, “I’ll follow whatever plan you have in mind, Mr. Rivers.”
Ethan looked down at her and said, “I know a place that needs a rural teacher. You’ve been trained since you were young and are quite knowledgeable, so you can take this responsibility on.
“As for the price, from now on, you must stay there and never set foot in Riveria again. And you can never see Stephen Quinn again.”
Snow was silent.
Become a rural teacher?
Furthermore, she was to never enter Riveria, let alone see Stephen Quinn again.
“I understand,” she said. After all, she had already written her will and was prepared to never see Stephen Quinn again.
“Being a teacher would make your parents happy. Staying away from Riveria would let Nina rest in peace. And you…” Ethan looked at her.
“And I,” Snow continued, “can atone for my sins.‘
It was a win–win–win situation.
“I
She looked up at Ethan. At this moment, Snow understood where Ethan’s confidence came from when he once said, “Even Heaven is no match for me.”
Three years ago, Nina had hoped she would leave Riveria.
Over ten years ago, her parents had starved to death here. She had been taken away by others, seemingly saved, but in actuality, she had headed towards her own destruction.
However, her body was fully rejuvenated. What first seemed like death turned out to be her true salvation.
