Chapter 213
So long as Ethan was still in charge of Riveria, he and his subordinates were to stay away from the border.
As such, now that Ethan was gone, the South Regent could finally act freely. However, this meant that the various schemes that he had come up with would go to waste. It was truly regretful.
At the very least, he wanted to win at least once.
The mayor bowed his head and said, “I understand, Your Highness.”
He looked back at the villa, then turned and left
The next day, the mayor came again.
In this subsequent visit to the villa, the mayor noticed that George and Stephen appeared refreshed and content. They clearly had a good time.
“Gentlemen, I hope I’m not disturbing you.
George smiled and said, “Of course not.”
“That’s good.” The mayor breathed a sigh of relief.
He briefed them on the wealthy investor’s itinerary. Everything was on schedule with an expected arrival in Celestial City tomorrow at noon.
They then chatted about Celestial City’s development and future plans.
Finally, the mayor asked curiously, “I heard Ethan Rivers used to have some connection with Riveria.
“But he has disappeared recently. Do you have any news about him?”
At the mention of Ethan, Stephen’s face darkened with displeasure. If not for the girl hugging him, he might have started cursing.
George was more composed. He asked, “Why are you suddenly asking about this?”
The mayor smiled and answered, “Just curious. Is he dead?”
George shook his head. “No, he’s not dead. However, he’ll never appear before anyone again because he’s locked up on Drakthorn Ridge.”
The mayor took those words to heart. “I see. Ethan did evil deeds, so this is well–deserved.”
Stephen said, “Well said. Indeed, he deserves it”
“Haha, I won’t disturb you any further.” Having gotten the information he wanted, the

mayor stood up to leave..
He walked out of the villa, sat in his car, closed the windows, and took out his phone to call the South Regent.
“Your Highness, I’ve learned of Ethan’s whereabouts.”
“Oh?” The South Regent stood up abruptly, excitedly saying as his voice grew louder, “Tell me quickly!”
“Yes!” Startled, the mayor hurriedly replied, “He’s imprisoned at Drakthorn Ridge.”
Click. The call ended.
The South Regent immediately had someone bring him a map of Riveria, quickly locating Drakthorn Ridge.
The mountain was outside the capital. It was named after the legend of a divine dragon hiding there.
“I’m going into Riveria!” The South Regent decided to see Ethan.
Another morning soon arrived. It was a beautiful day.
Ethan opened the villa’s main door to see a car slowly stopping in front.
Click. The car door opened, and the South Regent slowly stepped out. His subordinates followed closely, each holding a gun.
The South Regent glared at them. “How can you be so impolite when meeting Lord Rivers? Put those things away.
He knew that guns and ammunition could not scare or threaten Ethan.
Moreover, the South Regent’s main purpose of the visit was simply to see Ethan.
Ethan calmly glanced at the South Regent and said, “What a surprise. Come on in.”
In the living room, tea was already prepared.
The South Regent smiled and said, “It seems we can’t hide our arrival from you. I can’t imagine how many of your people are around me.
Ethan calmly said, “Then, don’t bother imagining. Overthinking makes it hard to sleep.” The South Regent laughed boisterously. “You’re still as impenetrable as ever. With your abilities, it should be easy for you to leave this place, shouldn’t it?”
