Chapter 25
“Especially when he’s lying on a mountain of money. How can we let someone like this stay in power?
“He’ll eventually bring Riveria to ruins!”
Several officials nodded in’agreement, finding what Stephen sald was spot on.
Stephen led the rest to the front of a villa that was one of Ethan’s properties. Thought uninhabited, it was clean and tidy, indicating that someone frequently maintained it.
He made a call, summoning the community manager to open the door. Seeing it was an official visit, the manager had no choice but to comply
“Click.”
As the door opened, the scene inside left everyone stunned. The villa was completely .devoid of furniture. Instead, it was filled with suitcases! Every space was packed with
suitcases, leaving only narrow pathways to walk through.
“My God.”
Several officials felt dizzy. How much money could there be if all those suitcases were packed with hundred–dollar bills? Could the amount even be counted?
“This isn’t just corruption. It’s mega–corruption!”
Even Stephen gasped. It was all too much!
However, soon after, he felt elated because the more, the better. If there were over 100. million dollars in there, he could put Ethan away for life.
Stephen declared, “Everyone here is a witness! Is this the so–called ‘goody–two–shoes‘ everyone claims Ethan to be? What a joke.
“Nobody touches these suitcases. I’m calling the bank to come
or now.”
He wanted the bank to count and determine exactly how much money there was. After making the call, he video–called George, showing him the room full of suitcases.
George also got excited when he saw the sheer number of suitcases. This time, they would finally take Ethan down. With that evidence, who would dare side with Ethan in the future?
He said, “Record a video and send it to me. I’ll report this to the higher–ups.”
Embezzling over 100 million dollars was no small matter. It was enough to cause a nationwide sensation and could even be used as a cautionary tale. In the past, they would have paraded such criminals through the streets as a warning to others.
This was definitely a major case. If handled well, it could earn recognition and rewards

from the federal government! It was all benefits with no downsides!
Stephen did as instructed, quickly preparing the video and sending it to George.
About ten minutes later, staff from the bank arrived in full force. They came in several armored trucks and with over a dozen money–counting machines.
Stephen approached and said, “Everything’s inside. Count them carefully, and don’t miss a single cent.”
The bank employees nodded firmly. They knew how to handle counting huge sums without being told.
When they entered the villa, they too were shocked by the scene of suitcases everywhere. Just how much money was that? Would they burn out several money–counting machines today?
As the bank employees began opening the suitcases, other workers recorded the entire process on video to prevent foul play.
The officials gulped nervously. Were the suitcases filled with hundred–dollar bills or gold bars?
