Chapter 339
“I know.” Nico smiled wryly. “Because we’re the same. I to kill me. We’re not so different, after all.”
to kill Ethan, and you want
Stephen instantly fell silent. He understood that the shock from Nico killing his son with his own hands had left the man devastated.
George gritted his teeth, stating, “You brought this upon yourself. None of this would’ve happened if you had just lived normally after being released from prison.”
Nico fell silent. If he had let go of his grudge after his release, he would not have lost everything.
“So, he had a plan all along.”
If he had followed Ethan’s plan, Tommy would have finished college, started a family, and be taken away from Stone Village for a fresh start in Hill City. However, because Nico chose revenge instead, he ended up killing his son with his own hands, sealing his fate.
“I regret it,” Nico said weakly as he looked down at the white sheets. “I finally understand what Ethan was trying to do for me. I’d like to apologize to him if given the chance.”
George said, “It’s too late for that.”
He despised Nico. If not for Nico, he would not have fought Julius, and Julius would not be

Nico looked at George. “I don’t care anymore. I have nothing left to lose, but what about you?”
George was speechless. Nico had tricked him into believing Stone Village was a heroic village. He even issued a public statement for that.

At 10 p.m., Stephen lay in bed, tossing and turning, unable to sleep. As soon as he closed his eyes, he would see the image of Julius dying in his arms.
“Don’t… be deceived again.” Julius‘ words rang in his ears.
Stephen got up from the bed and heaved a long sigh. Then, he got dressed, left his room, called his subordinate to buy a bottle of wine, and drove to the hospital.
Julius and Tommy would be cremated soon, so Stephen wanted to see them one last time.
