Chapter 83
The people of Seaside City were surprised.
“Has Howard killed before? I doubt that happened.”
“Yeah. He’s active at giving. A charitable man can’t be a murderer.”
“This can’t be true.”
Many were skeptical.
In Crestwood, however, Dennis jolted to his feet in thrill at the news.
“Has Howard been arrested? Go and find out if it’s real.”
Howard had been keeping Crestwood in line, preventing Dennis from being a menace, and Dennis had had enough.
The worst part was the dwindling drive of his men. Some of them had actually settled down working regular jobs, getting married, and starting families. Few had even persuaded Dennis to stop raising hell.
“We like our lives now. Isn’t that good enough?”
“Yeah, we’ve worked hard to get where we are today. Now, we can finally relax and enjoy the fruits of our labor.”
“My family is my priority, and I want to spend more time with them.”
Dennis knew that was his last shot at making a fortune and getting even. His two right- hand men and son were dead because of Ethan.
He was no match for Ethan and had been consistently outplayed by Howard, so now that he finally had a chance to strike back, he would not miss the opportunity.
Aware of the incident in North Hill City, he already had an escape route in mind. Once he got enough money, he would flee abroad, and nothing would hold him back.
His spy returned in a flash.
“It’s true. Howard is arrested. I saw him getting escorted into a van heading for Riveria.
“Howell will be trialed in the state’s court.”
Dennis trembled with excitement.
It was true! Howard had actually been captured and was awaiting trial in Riveria. If he was sent there, he might be in serious trouble and never return.
“Since Howard is gone, we should get down to business.

Dennis had it all figured out. To make money, he needed to create chaos in Seaside City. The more people he had under him, the more chaotic the city would become.
“I want Howard’s power and resources to be mine. In the worst–case scenario, I can dismiss his power.”
If he could not use them for his own gain, it was better to have Howard’s allies neutral than against him.
Without wasting another second, he sprang into action. The years of conflict with Howard gave Dennis insights into his power and history.
Dennis gathered his people and went to Howard’s people.
