The Heiress Nobody Saw Coming (Natalie and Marcus) novel Chapter 476

"Wesley!" Laura exclaimed in alarm when she saw him coughing up blood.

She hurried to clean him up, but Natalie restrained her with a gentle grip.

"Laura, I'll handle this," Natalie said, swiftly checking Wesley's pulse.

She then used a silver needle to examine the blood he had spit out. Upon ensuring there was no issue with the blood, Natalie assisted him into the medical room with a grave look. "Connie, fetch my medical kit," she instructed.

"Yes, Ms. Walker," Connie said, swiftly turning to fetch the medical kit.

Natalie directed Wesley to sit on the chair and handed him a tissue. "Mr. Holden, clean up the blood," she instructed.

She continued. "Your anger has disrupted your heart, causing an unstable pulse and a chaotic flow of blood in your body. If you don't manage your emotions, you might die before Laura even divorces you. In that case, Laura will end up a widow, almost like being divorced."

Natalie's voice was icy, and her tone was indifferent. "Mr. Holden, to be frank, you've been quite the disappointment as a husband."

Wesley's eyes were red from fatigue, but he was uninterested in others' opinions. His only concern was the impending loss of his wife. "Natalie, you're Marcus' girlfriend, practically my future daughter-in-law. Can't you at least put in a good word for me?"

Wesley pleaded sadly, "I just want to hold onto my wife. Laura has endured so much hardship before. Now that life is finally improving and we can enjoy it, I don't understand why she's suddenly seeking a divorce."

"It's actually pretty straightforward."

Initially, Natalie had no intention of interfering in others' affairs, but if Wesley were to die at The Herbalist's Sanctuary, it would reflect poorly on Federrick and wouldn't bode well for her relationship with Marcus.

"Mr. Holden, consider this scenario. Imagine Laura had a brother, whether older or younger, and he gave her a drug. While she was under the influence of this drug, she vanished from your sight, and you had no clue about her situation.

"Her brother harbored a strange, twisted, and sinister affection for her. You suffered torment and mutilation at the hands of her brother, and for over 20 years, you've been unable to lead a normal life.

"Even stepping outside to enjoy the sun has become a rare privilege. After enduring all of this, could you still sustain your love for her, unchanged, day after day for decades, and continue to live a happy life with her?

"Mr. Holden, offering comfort isn't my strong suit. I recommend you try to see things from her perspective. You love Laura, and she loves you as well. However, considering everything that's transpired between you both.

"Do you believe love is enough to surmount all those challenges? Now, what would you do if a situation similar to ours arose between you and Marcus?"

Wesley gazed at Natalie, looking bewildered. "If you were in Laura's shoes and Marcus were in mine, what decision would you make?"

Natalie immediately dismissed the notion. "That scenario doesn't make sense. I'm the true daughter of the Walker family, the proprietor of Goodwill Pharmacy, the global medical specialist Elim, and the creator of the famous brand NZ.

"I live independently and wouldn't entrust the important aspects and people related to my childbirth to anyone else."

Federrick had previously insisted that if she were to have a child, the attendants during her childbirth must be handpicked by her. Therefore, Wesley's assumption is baseless.
