The Heiress Nobody Saw Coming (Natalie and Marcus) novel Chapter 487

As Julie spoke, tears streamed down her face. "I'm not good with words, making you think I was threatening you. Ms. Walker, that wasn't my intention. I'm begging you.

"I'm just terrified that Kenton and his family will find me. That's why I panicked. I don't know what to do or how to express myself properly. Ms. Walker, you can ask me anything you want to know."

Her voice choked up as she spoke. She didn't want to cry, but she couldn't stop the sobs from escaping.

Natalie didn't comfort her or say a thing. She just placed a box of tissues in front of Julie.

Julie took a tissue, wiping her tears as she continued crying. It went on for a while until she finished about half a box of tissues. Finally, she calmed herself down.

Seeing that she had calmed down, Natalie said, "You said you didn't harm Mrs. Holden, and that you were forced by Lucy and Cassie. Do you have any evidence?"

Julie froze for a moment before shaking her head. "I… I don't have any evidence. Over 20 years ago, Lucy brought me to Holden Residence to assist with childbirth.

"All of our phones were confiscated, but we were each given a walkie-talkie for communication. All communications would be done through the walkie-talkies.

"I was Lucy's assistant, so I spent the most time by her side. But the tasks she assigned me were trivial. Anything important was kept from me.

"But one time, I accidentally bumped into Cassie meeting with Grace. I don't know what they talked about, but not long after, Diana went into labor.

"From what I know, her due date wasn't supposed to be that soon. Later on, I secretly followed Kenton and discovered that during that period, he had been frequently visiting a hospital.

"I didn't think much of it, but later, I found out that when Diana gave birth, an influential woman from Dithoria also delivered a baby girl at the hospital."

Natalie just sat there and listened quietly. After Julie was done talking, Natalie got up and poured her a glass of water.

"So, do you now know who that noblewoman from Dithoria was?"

Julie took the glass of water and drank several sips. Then, she answered, "Yes. She was your biological mother, Mrs. Walker.

"Selena was taken away by Kenton. Since Victor wasn't Grace's biological son, Grace didn't have any affection for this granddaughter of hers. In fact, she deeply resented Diana because Victor went against her wishes and married Diana."

"Once Kenton took Selena away, he didn't treat her well. Instead, he sold her off. The first family that Selena was sold to couldn't have children. At first, they treated her fairly well.

"But when Selena turned three, the wife got pregnant unexpectedly. Later, she gave birth to a son. Now that they had their own child, their love and attention for Selena gradually faded."

Julie paused for a moment before continuing, "Perhaps it was something in her nature, Selena began resenting her parents for favoring her younger brother. One day, while they were busy, she tried to strangle her younger brother.

"But as she was doing that, the wife walked in on the scene. In a rage, she almost beat Selena to death. The husband then took Selena back to Kenton, demanding a refund.

"Seeing how Selena was already three years old, Kenton agreed to only return a quarter of the money. If they didn't accept it, he wouldn't refund anything at all. Furious, that husband brought Selena back home, but soon after, they sold her to someone else.

"I don't know where she ended up after that. Later on, I heard Kenton mentioning that Selena was unlucky. She was passed around from one place to another, so it wasn't clear if she would even survive to adulthood.
