The Heiress Nobody Saw Coming (Natalie and Marcus) novel Chapter 489

Natalie recalled the needle piercing her blood vessel, and her blood flowing into the blood bags. As a young child, she had no choice but to endure the pain and sadness.

Just because she called Diana her mom, she had to give her blood without resentment or hatred.

"Mrs. Langley Senior, do you not know that direct relatives cannot donate blood to each other?"

As a child, Natalie didn't know that. But after meeting Federrick, he taught her these medical facts. However, she had been grateful that she wasn't biologically related to the Langleys. After all, Grace had treated her so well.

As a child, Natalie feared that if she refused, Grace would abandon her. She was too young and naive. Having never received the love she craved from her parents, she clung to the little affection Grace offered her.

But after overhearing the conversation between Grace and Victor outside the hospital ward, all traces of love and gratitude she had for Grace vanished in an instant.

"Mrs. Langley Senior, do I not have the right to resent you? To hate you? You, Victor, and Diana. What have any of you done for me? Tell me, what exactly have I done wrong to the Langley family?"

Natalie's voice was cold and sharp. "Mrs. Langley Senior, what have you ever done for me? What right do you have to say that you don't blame me for my family's retaliation? I didn't expect the Langleys to be so thick-skinned to say such a thing."

Grace was stunned by Natalie's sharp words. Her face was filled with shock and disbelief. It was as if she couldn't understand that the person who had once treated her with utmost respect and obedience would turn into someone so cold and ruthless.

It took some time before Grace murmured, "Then what about the 20 years I spent raising and loving you? Does that mean nothing to you?"

Natalie chuckled. "If that's what you call love, I rather not have it. When I was a child, I didn't understand. But now, do you really think you can continue with the act?

"I thought that by returning to my real family and cutting ties with you, we could go our separate ways without interacting ever again. But now, I happened to save someone. Coincidentally, she said her husband is Kenton Langley."

Natalie glared at Grace and said slowly, "He's a member of Amberton's Langley family, and more importantly, he's your younger brother."

Natalie's words caused Grace's expression to change drastically. Her body swayed, and she had to grip the armrest for support.

"Mrs. Langley Senior, aren't you supposed to be an only child? Why do you have a younger brother? Also, Kenton's wife told me about Megan.

"Victor isn't your biological. Your real daughter is Megan Langley! I'm really curious, do you have a twisted hobby? Why do you like to ignore your biological daughter and granddaughter while raising someone else's child instead?"

"Nonsense!" Grace slammed her hand onto the armrest. "Nattie, where did you hear such baseless rumors? These are completely fabricated? Do you think I'm crazy enough to abandon my biological daughter and raise someone else's child?"

"Whether it's nonsense or rumors, as long as you and Victor take a DNA test, that would clear things up, right?" Natalie said with a smirk. "You must've been waiting for me for quite some time. Now that I'm here, if you're not willing to show sincerity, there's nothing left for us to discuss."

Natalie stood up and continued, "How is the Langley family holding up? Are you sure you can still retain your spot as the wealthiest family in Amberton?"

Grace's face turned red then pale. She lifted her gaze at Natalie. After Natalie returned to the Walkers, she had been given way more than what the Langleys had ever provided.

Most importantly, the Walkers' love for her was unconditional and sincere. They didn't expect anything in return.

From the moment Hector stepped into the Langley residence with Natalie, Grace knew that the granddaughter she had raised for 20 years no longer belonged to her or the Langley family.
