Listening to his nonsense, Raylee really wished she had a few more bricks to knock him out once and for all.

She then uttered in an annoyed tone, “Stop filling your mind with all those dirty thoughts. My relationship with Dr. Shapiro is pure and innocent, so quit spewing nonsense!”

“Fine! If you won’t admit it, I won’t force you.” Samuel had sobered up considerably, and once he had calmed down, his tone became much gentler. I’m sorry. I was a bit hasty carlier. Did I hurt you when I pulled you?” he asked with concern.

Raylee looked at him in disbelief. What the actual heck? Is this dimwit actually apologizing to me? Have I misheard?

“Do you know? After your return from Musmeynia, you’ve completely free from Jeremiah. I’m genuinely happy for you.” Samuel looked relieved and said, “I think you’ve finally managed to escape from the inferno. In the future, if you find your true love, I will sincerely wish you happiness. Even if our animosity ran deep and even if you wished me dead, I would only ever wish for your happiness. That’s because you were once my sister. Even if you don’t acknowledge me, I’ll always consider you as my sister.”
