Thinking of Yang Yu, Chloe Malan was upset.
She was drinking with Ivy Aldington yesterday, but how did she end up leaving alone? Let alone the chances that kid met her on the street.
That stupid, lying kid.
He claimed himself not interested in elder women but turned out to be a sneaky pervert. For that, Chloe did not feel eased even after slapping on his face. She crushed everything in his room and then cursed the hell of him before leaving confusedly.
As Chloe was lost in her thoughts, both her and Olive heard the loud sound of the bottle fell. Olive Steele jumped to her feet to the living room and Chloe followed her out.
Outside of the bedroom, two men now were both drunk, Olive’s father stammered, “A...Alan...Hoyle, I, I’m warning y, you. Don’t you ever...um...ever betray my Olive.”
“She’s my girl...I will never... betray her...”
“Olive’s my girl!” Her father glared at him as if Alan was going to steal his ownership.
Seeing this, Chloe stuck her head out of Olive’s shoulder, “People said father and daughter were lovers in their past lives, and they were goddamn right.”
For that, she envied Olive, because her own parents did not seem to love her at all. Recently, they even asked Chloe for money as if she owned them debts in a past life.
In fact, she would just give the money if they loved her a single bit, but they did not. When she was young, she was their burden, and now when she grew up, she became their cash cow.
The selfishness of them shocked Chloe over and over again, so she would rather give her salary to Olive’s parents than her own.
It was they who gave her love, warmth, and families.
Olive’s father and Alan Hoyle both lied at the table and were still lisping.
Olive's mother shook her head and asked Chloe Malan to get Olive's father up before turning around to Olive who was still standing aside, "Take him to your room and go to get some herbs that helped with alcohol."
Hearing the words, she smiled. Olive knew that her parents were not the type that could not be reasoned. They only did this to Alan for her own good.
