The Marriage She Turned into War novel Chapter 130

I had a falling out with Abigail just yesterday. So, now, as I prepared to approach her again, my heart raced as my anxiety grew.

As I hesitated over whether to call Abigail, Sophia suddenly entered the room, her eyes red.

She looked at me sternly, then reprimanded, "Samuel, what's wrong with you? Didn't you say you would live well for yourself? If George hadn't called me, I wouldn't have known that you were hospitalized again!"

She placed the fruit basket she brought over on the bedside table, then stared at me with a reproachful look.

I chuckled, then waved dismissively. "Don't worry about me. See? I'm perfectly fine."

Despite my reassurance, Sophia's gaze remained full of sadness.

"Samuel, please take care of yourself. Don't let me… or anyone else who cares about you worry like this!"

Her heartfelt concern touched me deeply. I smiled and thanked her, "Thank you. It's getting late. It's not safe for a girl like you to be out alone. You should head home."

With my urging, Sophia went home despite her reluctance. After she was gone, I let out a sigh of relief.

Lana's condition couldn't afford any delays. I picked up my phone and tried calling Abigail, hoping that she could help me find a neurosurgeon from overseas to carry out Lana's surgery.

However, the call just wouldn't go through. Instead, I sent several text messages asking to meet, but she didn't reply to them either.

Left with no other option, I decided to go to her office in the morning to speak with her directly.

Just as I put down my phone, another call came in from Blair. Seeing her name appear on the screen made my head throb.
