The Marriage She Turned into War novel Chapter 134

Abigail's accusations struck me like a lightning bolt, paralyzing me with shock.

I stared at her in disbelief. After a moment of silence, I slowly closed my eyes. The pain from the day I had left surged through my mind, sharp and unrelenting.

My whole body trembled as I struggled to calm myself, but memories of the past overwhelmed me, making peace impossible.

I shook my head, my voice weighed down by exhaustion and despair. "Abigail, please… I'm begging you. Just go, alright? I'm really tired."

I didn't have the strength to argue with her. I just wanted to spend the time I had left doing what mattered to me, trying to leave this world with as few regrets as possible.

But why couldn't Abigail even let me have this final wish?

A loud clap of thunder rolled through the sky outside, echoing the storm inside me.

I waved my hand, urging her to leave. "You should go now. If it starts raining, it'll only make it harder for you to leave. Wouldn't want to upset your lover, would you?"

Abigail's face darkened, her gaze icy as she snapped, "My business is none of your concern."

She then declared, her voice sharp and unrelenting, "Give up, Samuel. You're stuck with me in this life. There's no escape. Even in death, you'll die by my side!

"You betrayed me. I won't let you go that easily. I'll torment you until you break, until you're on your knees begging for mercy and wishing for death!"

Her scathing words cut through me like a blade. I couldn't even find the words to respond. I just lowered my head, helpless and defeated.
