The Marriage She Turned into War novel Chapter 204

As soon as I reached the office entrance, I spotted Joshua.

I wondered if he was waiting there on purpose or if fate had a twisted sense of humor.

The moment Joshua noticed me, a faint smirk curled on his lips. He strutted over with a cocky air and had the audacity to greet me.

"Well, well, if it isn't Mr. Gebb himself."

I shot him a cold glance, not interested in entertaining his nonsense.

Joshua was someone who would either provoke or insult me whenever we crossed paths. Nothing good came out of running into him.

Ignoring him, I quickened my pace toward the elevators, but he suddenly stepped in front of me and blocked my way.

"What do you want?" I asked sharply as I narrowed my eyes. My tone made it clear that I wasn't in the mood for games.

Joshua raised an eyebrow, feigning surprise. "Aw, don't tell me you're still upset about yesterday. Come on. It was just a little bit of fun."

After orchestrating an entire mob to humiliate me yesterday, he now had the nerve to act like it was just some harmless joke and that I was the one overreacting.

I glared at him, and my voice was low and icy as I said, "Joshua, we're not friends, and we never will be. From now on, when you see me, just pretend that I don't exist. We have nothing to talk about. Got it?"

Without waiting for his response, I brushed past him and stepped into the elevator.

I heard him laugh coldly behind me as the doors began to close. "Playing hardball, huh? Fine. Samuel, I'll make sure you're out of Abigail's life sooner or later. No matter how long you cling to her, it's pointless!"

I ignored him. His words weren't worth a response.
