While I stood there, still puzzled and trying to make sense of what was happening, Blair approached me with a cold expression.
She sneered and shook her head, her voice dripping with mockery. "I must say that you're quite patient. Abigail has openly gotten intimate with who knows how many young guys right in front of you, and yet, you'd rather let her cheat on you than divorce her. What are you trying to get out of this?
"Are you after her money or her looks? If you want both, why not choose me instead? I don't think I'm any worse than her, so why won't you be with me?"
The longer Blair spoke, the more brazen and outrageous her words became.
I frowned at her and said firmly, "That's enough! Stop talking! This is between me and Abigail. It's not something for you to ridicule. Please show some respect!"
However, Blair didn't take my words seriously. She sneered and shook her head before saying "Yes, it's between you and Abigail, but what about us? Are we just going to pretend nothing happened?"
I was dumbfounded. "Us? Is there something going on between us?"
She grabbed my arm and yanked it hard.
The wounds on my wrist split open. It hurt so much that I gasped and let out a muffled groan.
Blair noticed something was wrong with my reaction and immediately let go of my hand. "What's wrong?" she asked, concerned. "Are you hurt? Let me have a look."
I quickly adjusted my sleeve and took a few steps back. I shook my head indifferently and said, "I'm fine. You don't have to worry about—"
