"Are you sure?"
After a while, Cathy asked lightly, her fingers tightening.
Robert nodded. "I personally saw that child's hair. The person who was looking for it was identified by an acquaintance. It could not be fake. That child was indeed Aubrey's."
He looked at Cathy worriedly, "What should I do about this?"
Cathy did not answer.
Although she had guessed this in her heart, when the answer came, it was still difficult to accept.
Robert did not notice that her fingers were trembling.
Her face was also frighteningly pale.
If the child was only Aubrey's, she would not be so afraid.
But now, Navier still had 'big eyes'!
Once this was revealed...
Cathy did not dare to imagine, her mind was completely confused.
"What on earth is this woman trying to do?" Robert also growled irritably.
He felt that Navier concealed her child's identity because she did not really want to draw a line with Aubrey, but instead planned to hold back her big move.
"Cathy!" He suddenly made up his mind and clenched Cathy's arm, letting her face him, "Listen, never tell Aubrey about this! It's a matter of time!"
The moment he finished speaking, the door was pushed open.
A tall figure walked in.
Cathy and Robert turned around at the same time. When they saw the face of the person who entered, their expressions changed.
Cathy awkwardly pushed Robert away, forcefully suppressing the unease in her heart, and quickly greeted him, "Ah, Aubrey, are you here to see me?"
Her voice was gentle and sweet, like a well-behaved and docile cat.
Robert felt very uncomfortable when he saw Cathy's heart and eyes filled with Aubrey.
He pinched his fingers, but he could only give in. "The two of you can speak slowly, I won't bother you."
With that, he turned around and walked out.
Seeing Robert leaving, Cathy continued to say, "Aubrey, I've been waiting for you for a day. Why did you only come to see me now?"
She rested her head on Aubrey's shoulder.
Although Aubrey treated her differently now, he had never spoken to her with unbridled intimacy.
But this time, she just followed, and Aubrey suddenly avoided.
"Why would you do that!" He said, his voice extremely deep.
Cathy was startled and looked at him, only to realize that his face was extremely cold.
An unease flashed across her heart.
Her heart thumped hard.
She quickly asked, "Aubrey, what happened?"
Aubrey turned to look at her, his eyes were as cold as ice.
Cathy had never seen such a cold gaze from him. She was so frightened that she moved back, not knowing what to do.
She bit her lips in grievance and asked, "Aubrey, why are you looking at me like that? You know that I'm not well and I can't stand the stimulation. If you look at me like this, my condition will worsen."
Cathy's tone was pitiful, with tears in her eyes.
In the past, with Cathy acting like this, even if Aubrey was furious, he would still obey her, at least he would say something nice.
But this time, he did not.
The way Aubrey looked at her was filled with disappointment.
"How did you become like this? You even did such a vicious thing! You really did something to Navier and that child's blood!" He roared these words.
Just as he finished speaking, Cathy became stiff as if she was struck by a thunderbolt.
She was speechless for a while!
Her mind was completely blank!
"You're no longer the person I knew! You've become a monster!" Aubrey scolded Cathy solemnly.
In the past, he only thought that she was wayward. Even if she pretended that she kidnapped and lied to him, causing him to abandon Navier and causing her to miscarry, he would only blame himself.
But he really could not let go of the blood contamination!
Cathy tried hard to stand up straight, but her legs were shaking so badly that she had no strength at all.
She suddenly fell on the bed.
