Chapter 151 Mr. Morgan’s Displeasure
Finished
Freya could tell from his glance that Mr. Morgan was seething with anger, and she knew she should brace herself for the worst.
Ms. Lovett, standing at the foot of the stairs with a tray of tea, glanced at Freya, her lips moving as if to speak, but no words came out.
Mr. Morgan had returned early to Newport Villa that day. The moment he stepped through the door, he inquired about Ms. Gomez’s whereabouts.
Ms. Gomez had been out since morning, her camera slung over her shoulder. Now, it was late, and she was just returning.
Mr. Morgan had been waiting for her in the master bedroom, his dinner untouched. The meal she had prepared had been reheated and served three times, only to be knocked to the floor on the last attempt.
Ms. Lovett didn’t dare to try again. Mr. Morgan had been waiting in the master bedroom for a full five hours, from noon until evening.
“Ms. Gomez…” Ms. Lovett began, glancing at Freya as she held out the tray, “I’ve just prepared dinner. The crepes are fresh from the oven.”
Freya shook her head, and Koen turned away, unable to bear the sight.
With Mr. Morgan in such a state, Ms. Gomez had no appetite for crepes.
In the past, when Mr. Morgan and Ms. Gomez quarreled, it would end in a heated argument. This time, they had no idea what to expect.
After thanking Ms. Lovett, Freya ascended the stairs and paused outside the master bedroom door.
The door was slightly ajar, and the pungent smell of smoke wafted from within.
Freya’s steps grew heavy as she stood at the threshold, unable to bring herself to push the door open.
She thought back to what Sawyer had said, about her obtaining the tore information that Nathaniel held. It seemed like a far–fetched fantasy, an impossible dream.
Hating Nathaniel was one thing, but exacting revenge on him would require immense courage.
Freya reached out to touch the door, then gently pushed it open.
The room was dimly lit, with only a wall lamp and a few decorative lights on the balcony illuminating the tall figure standing there, casting an ominous and uncertain shadow.
Freya tiptoed in, her foot accidentally hitting cups and plates scattered on the plush carpet, food strewn all over the floor.
She could only imagine how furious Nathaniel must have been earlier, so much so that even Ms. Lovett didn’t dare to clean up the mess.

After Ms. Lovett had taken the items away and carefully closed the door behind her, the room fell into darkness.
Freya stood behind Nathaniel, maintaining a safe distanc door leading to the balcony.
He was outside, she was inside.

Nathaniel finally moved, extinguishing the cigarette in his hand, turning around to cast a cold gaze at the woman before him.
She appeared calm and composed, but his world was in turmoil. He realized he had been too lenient with her lately.
