Chapter 164 Coffee, Half Sugar
Nathaniel was preoccupied, his mind elsewhere, and he was inexplicably restless.
Abigail gestured to Freya, who was standing a short distance away, as if summoning a subordinate.
“Ms. Gomez, please join me.”
The only seating available on Abigail’s side was a pair of sofas, specifically placed for couples selecting wedding dresses, leaving no additional seating.
Freya, having been deliberately summoned by Abigail, had no choice but to lean in and stand beside her.
“Ms. Gomez, what do you think of that one? I’m fond of its neckline, it accentuates my collarbone quite well, don’t you agree?”
Freya nodded, her face composed. She mostly agreed with Abigail’s opinions, occasionally offering her own suggestions, which were quite insightful.
Despite Abigail’s intention to unsettle Freya, she had to admit that the woman had a unique eye for fashion design. The wedding dresses Freya selected were indeed superior to those she had previously
seen.
Her heart sank, but this woman was maintaining her composure remarkably well, which irked her.
“Fetch me a cup of coffee, half sugar,” Abigail requested with a smile,
As soon as she finished speaking, the atmosphere shifted. Wasn’t this inappropriate?
Even though Freya was currently an employee of Nathaniel’s Technologent Group and under his control, she was still associated with Nathaniel.
Abigail, despite being engaged to the wealthy Morgar family, was not yet officially Nathaniel’s wife.
It would have been inappropriate even for Nathaniel himself to ask Freya to do this in front of so many people, treating a department manager like a servant
Abigail’s request was even more out of line.
Freya’s expression tightened slightly, while Nathaniel, reclining on the sofa, looked even more displeased.
The manager
of Eternal, standing nearby, intervened with a smile, “Ms. Hill, allow me to assist you. Ms. Gomez isn’t familiar with the location of our coffee machine. We had prepared fruit juice and tea for you, as we were informed of your preference. We apologize for the oversight.”
Mr. Hamilton was tactful. Freya had previously assisted with the interior design of his bridal shop. Despite having compensated her for her services, he couldn’t stand to see her humiliated. They had, after all, been on good terms.

the pretty girls!”
As expected, Nathaniel’s frown deepened at her words, his gaze icy as he looked at Mr. Hamilton.
Mr. Hamilton was unnerved by Nathaniel’s intense stare, sweat beading on his forehead.
Freya was Nathaniel’s former fiancé, and he had only wanted to alleviate her discomfort, but his intentions had been misconstrued by Ms. Hill.
