He spotted her phone on the bed, but instead of taking it, he placed it on the nightstand. After taking a cold shower and changing into pajamas, he returned to bed, cradling Freya in his arms as he drifted off to sleep.

Freya sent another text.
“I’ll update you if there’s any progress.”
She watched as the message was sent, and received an immediate response.

She had a hunch that Sawyer had stayed up all night, anxiously awaiting news from her.
She felt a twinge of annoyance, as all the trouble that had occurred was due to Sawyer.

Ms. Lovett greeted Freya with a knowing smile.
Nathaniel had spent the night in Freya’s room, rising early before she did. He had even gone to the extent of making toast for her himself.
Although it didn’t taste as good as the ones she made the toast was a special gesture from Nathaniel. made especially for her.
Freya sat at the table, eyeing the pale–colored toast before her. Ms. Lovett had meticulously cut it into slices, and prepared an assortment of jams and a glass of warm milk. A variety of colorful dried fruits and a fresh fruit platter were also present.
“Mr. Morgan personally made the toast for you today, Ms. Gomez.”
Freya paused, her hand hovering over the bread. Surprise flickered in her eyes.
No wonder the toast looked a bit off today. She had assumed that Ms. Lovett had tried a new method for breakfast, but it turned out that Nathaniel was the one who had made it
Upon reflection, she found the bread she was chewing somewhat bland. She set down the toast, picked up the glass of milk, and headed towards the Western–style kitchen.
